Their XTRA XTRA documentary series highlight their journey from the initial 21 candidates to its current lineup. Hikaru of Kepler was also one of those candidates. I know you focus on the songs and choreography, but getting to know the members help to appreciate their talents.

He was a 2nd generation idol and he wanted to use a similar system to analyze, train and select the debuting members. He used what he knew and expanded on it. It’s the old “been there done that, got the t-shirt”.
If you watch closely, you can see the members using ASL/PSE sign language during the dance. It's subtle so you can miss it. This was Simons way of trying to be inclusive to the deaf/HOH community who enjoy XG's music. XG even released a full signed version of Girl Gang. I'm quite happy that you liked this song. I know that XG has not been your cup of tea.
