I'm loving the homesteading diversion here mate. Even the peeler was a great tip. I might have to remember this one for when my trees get a bit older. Nice format too - very conversational and engaging.
Glad you enjoyed it Andy. I've got a few ideas for videos looking at planing for the farm as well. Think it might help a few folks on their journey as well. Cheers mate
the key thing in this is limonene, which is in the oil of lemon and also some herbal plants... we use d-limonene to clean the trim machines, and limonene from lemon peels is a stronger cleaner than a basic rubbing alcohol as a solvent... no joke it cleans machines for trimming herb plants faster than isopropyl
also the pH of this must be super low which also helps remove sticky things... the citric acid lowers pH (in my organic compost teas weekly als) and also greatly helps maintain stable pH in root zones
@@dertythegrower What do you think of putting the peel into 92% isopropyl? I must check the ph of that. I have a theory it's quite acidic as well. I may have an ample supply of isopropyl as an off product of some other activity I engage in.
Hahaha... we do the samething with our orange peel from the outback area at home... I do have to agree perfect for cleaning up grease and oil .. from the home chefy. Which then keeps the wifey happy too.❤ Thank "B" and Rob sharing.. Cheers buddy til the next...❤
The place we bought it from has shut down. I did find some similar from the same company on amazon in the US www.amazon.com/shop/bnbob01/list/1BOCXHQGYSYXP?ref_=aip_sf_list_spv_ons_mixed_d That's an affiliate link BTW.
When you juice the limes how long does the juice last. Have frozen into icecresm trays before but they are really sticky and hard to get out of the trays

Did you leave a link where to buy the peeler?

Cheers with the Mojitos, please have one for me 🤙

Cheers 🍹🍹
Can we use lemons instead of limes? Is it just as good?
citric acid high level in both. citric acid is strong and very low pH
Certainly can. Most folks will use lemon but any citrus will do.
Thank you very much😊
You're welcome 😊
hello... just wondering if you water the mix down or use it straight?
We just use it straight 👍

We normally freeze it in trays as well. I think just over a week would be it's shelf life in there though.
👍
👍👍
Mojotos, you say?😃
