The Sigma 70-200mm F2.8 lens is a high quality lens that delivers phenomenal image quality.
It has some slightly weird design choices but if you can see past that then you'll get Sony 70-200 GMII quality with an amazing Optic stabilization and focus breathing in a lens that's a fraction of the price (In a lot of countries).
I haven't for a moment regretted that i bought the Sigma version.

Thank you so much Nicklas for the informative and helpful review! God bless and good luck!
Appreciate the nice words🙏
What an awesome video. Thanks
Thank you! Appreciate it a lot 🙏
I bought it a few days ago for L-mount and love it. But of course it has some downsides like the sun hood you already mentioned. Also I’m still getting used to the focal Ring being on the front instead in the middle. And of course the tripod foot being that complicated to be removed. Other that that it‘s awesome and on L-mount it supports both Teleconverters as well.
The gm ii is literally worth $200 (CDN) more than the A7IV body, no brainer here but to go with the sigma’s 70-200 or (cheaper and lighter) the tamron’s 70-180 G2
Really well done video!! You took so many thoughts right out of my head - like how when I think I’m ready to splurge on the Sony, I cheapen out and start questioning between the Sony and Sigma all over again. 😅
I’ve long invested in Sigma for the reliability of being a reputable Japanese brand and the manufacturing occurring in Japan. I have had the APS-C version A-mount of this focal point from ages ago. I also have couple of Sigma Art lenses for my Canon APS-C. Now I’m outfitting my new Sony full frame mirrorless E-mount, so here I am at a crucial juncture!
Design flaws - I agree - esp the lens hood and foot mount. And I know that the Sony is no doubt phenomenal but $1,300 difference?! Ummm… can I do it? Is the extra $$$ worth it? Seems so hard to justify for a semi-pro.
I really enjoyed everything about your video, so thanks so much. It’s intuitively categorized and explained, friendly, honest. Liked & newly subscribed! Keep going! 👏🏼
Want to ask you, is it easy to find a job or clients as a photographer? Or can you do a video on how to find a clients doing photography?
I would say that it depends a lot on your skill level, where you live, which connections you have, what's shown in your portfolio and your ability to sell. For me it started as a hobby and at some point a few of my clients started to spread the word about my work, so suddenly i had a lot of work and i then decided to go fulltime. Today the story is a bit different since i've drifted a lot away from photography and more into corporate videography with more event-, ads- and shortform content videos. The reason that happened was because a lot of corporations had decided to focus more on Instagram and TikTok content which is primarily videos today. That's a big issue in my opinion because it kinda makes photography a boring job since most of the jobs you're able to get is either gonna be weddings or portraits for schools, big corporations etc.
So to answer your question: Is it easy to mainly be a photographer in 2024? In my opinion... No, you have to expand your skillset in that world, to actually be able to make a sustainable income 😁
@@Ekstra_EUOk, thank you very much for your answer!

Tamron 70-180mm G2 is better!
I bought a Sigma 100-400mm zoom. When the AF failed, no parts were available anywhere to repair it. I vowed never to buy a Sigma lens ever again.
