Thank you. I plan on doing more. My channel is primarily about mountain biking, which I love, but I have discovered that walking a trail is incredibly relaxing to me . Mountain biking is more about conquering a trail , but hiking a trail makes you part of a trail, connected to your surroundings.

Thank you. I do enjoy it. There is a lot more that I haven't hiked yet at Umstead State Park. So more videos are on the way. I'm very surprised that people actually watch these. The music helps.

Thank you for watching and commenting. I hope to do more of these. In fact I know I will. I just bought a new pair of hiking boots. I've been wearing my work boots . I've come to really appreciate a good walk through the woods. It really relaxes my mind and feeds my soul . Again thanks for watching.

It is interesting to me that the sign as you are leaving the park says that is also the end of the Loblolly Trail. But if you turn right where you stopped there is a trail going around a small lake and crossing Reedy Creek Road to Schenck Forest with a bunch of old fading signs identifying it as Loblolly Trail. And even through Schenck many of the same mile markers count down to a tunnel going under Wade Avenue. I suspect Loblolly used to go all the way to Carter-Finley Stadium, but someone decided to "disown" all of it outside of Umstead.

Interesting. I may have to revisit that location and see where I end up. I look at the video again but I think there was an old " no bikes allowed " sign that I thought was in an odd location.
