Went to an unadvertised tag sale today while waiting for an estate sale to open.(had my number already) Found a Mackenzie-Childs Studio serving bowl in perfect condition. $3!!! I didn't even realize it was there until a clueless homeowner picked it up and read the back for me. It was too heavy for me to lift while holding other stuff. The pattern had no checkerboard but.... bingo!
I think the big issue with Goodwill is they would rather list there items high and then trash it if it doesn’t sell. Before they trash everything maybe they could put what doesn’t sell (the items they will trash) into an area in the store in a “dollar” spot, that way at least there is a chance of it not going in the trash. The idea of a consumer giving their items up to a store that may just trash them instead of price them to sell doesn’t work when their are so many good company’s that are actually working their business model and mission. Goodwill is not a retail store and a huge percentage of of their shoppers are resellers. If their customers are resellers and people in need then that’s what they should be catering too. My goodwill bragged about looking things up on eBay and admitted using eBay prices. I told them they don’t get millions of viewers like an eBay item will and to be a retail store is not their mission, not to mention everything is given to them! If it gets trashed nobody wins!
I was so pumped when you grabbed the unicorn scratch art. I was like wow! I used to own that! and then you said "vintage art" =( I had bought it brand new ;)
Hey Jocelyn, I was looking at that Austrian teapot without a lid. You know something like that might be sold as a teapot planter. Some people do use old teapots for garden planters and that base would make a nice one. Just a thought I had. Sue ❤
Juliette....AHHMAZING KID....you that is. I havnt been on in a while but goshalmighty you is looking famous. So so beautiful. That black number wowza....gorg....you are an absolute role model kid....loveya xx Mary in Kildare Eire xxx

I have to laugh when you show your perspective of your cart from your height. because of my height I have to walk to the side if the cart to put stuff in. My perspective is much closer to the ground. The owl windchime has such a nice sound to it. My mom loved windchimes and owls so that would have been perfect. Lost mom last year so I always think if her when you find owls.
If I was getting those neat yellow/black vintage plates I would have wanted the dish that was missing it’s lid anyway cause it’s still part of the set.
The Appalachian Mtns. we're full of textile mills, some lasting into the 80s. When they finally closed the doors, and all the old equipment removed, those shuttles were at all the flea mkts and yard sales. And as we Appalachians do, they were repurposed. They're Kind of hard to find now.
I found a Death Wish coffee mug recently thanks to your tip about them...I had never really checked out that style of mug before. The one I have is a Zodiac design...I think I'll keep it for a while and then mayyyyybe part with it. :)
I WISH the Goodwill stores here in Delaware (upper) had the quality items that Pennsylvania Stores have!! All I can say is thank God for estate auctions!
It is too bad that you can't go in there and buy a whole cart full of things and hardly pay anything so you can make a lot of money on them. That would be nice to see and that is how it should be. I love watching you find things that you know you will get a lot of money for. It makes me happy. Sending HUGS!! Take care and have a nice night.
The wooden candle sticks are old weaving pins, I sold some before. I have some Antique’s I used to sell at Webster, Fl Flea Market , I am going to start putting them on Offer-up on my site.
I get annoyed when people bring up other eBay people. I'm sure Jocelyn knows more than they do. They all have their favorite picks. Also Good Will is not a non profit company. It's not the reseller that cause the high prices. Just my opinion, which counts for nothing. I watch her for what she likes and buys.
Good Will absolutely IS a non-profit company. Their main mission is to instruct people in need on how to get a job they can perform with pride and how to keep that job. Good Will's founder's motto was, "A hand up, not a hand out." So every time you buy something at or donate something to Good Will, you will be helping Good Will to teach someone to become a skillful, productive contributor to society rather than only a taker. They also will be able to pass their knowledge forward to their children and anybody else who wants to learn.
U score big time 💕 at this Good Will. 🛒Cute Owl wind chimes sad his wing is gone maybe u can put something on it to look like a wing .It will look good at your new house . Thank you for sharing your story have a wonderful day 💞
Wow ur goodwill has a ton of stuff I agree they have forgotten their mission . Just saying I having given to goodwill in a year found another outlet to help people.
I have two of the shuttle and bobbin candle holders hanging by my fireplace. The shuttle is used to hold the bobbin as it weaves fabric on the loom. The wooden ones are no longer used. My father was a supervisor in a textile mill for about 45 years.
Should have taken a closer look a the yellow fish bitters bottle if it was marked W H Ware patented 1886 its worth $800-$1200. I sold an amber one for $450 in 15 minutes! They come in red green cobalt and the rarest one is the clear I’ve seen sold for $5400.
Will you let us know if the Westward Ho is the 1800s version and which website you found the info? I’ve looked but still too vague for me to make a positive ID on mine. Great video as usual! 👏
The Death Wish coffee mugs are made by Deneen Pottery. Some of the MD Renaissance mugs are as well. The ones you picked up weren’t Deneen. It was another pottery company
Laura Caldwell found one lions head bowl after she got home from Europe. She was so excited because she had been served french onion soup out of the exact same bowl. She would love the 4 bowls that were there.
Those bowls are everywhere here in Denmark. They were big in the 80'. You can get the really cheap. I found some in purple the other day while thrifting not pretty and i love purple😉 I like the once in brown.
I noticed you passed up on what looked like a clear Fosteria glass piece. Are they not selling well? I have a few red pieces of coin glass and just wondering!
Those items are slow sellers. You would be better hitting the clothing aisle and finding some good Summer gems. My shorts and sandals are selling like hot cakes.
@@CrazyLampLady must have been - they are BIA - I did see that one at $6 - but when I kept scrolling there was the one for $49.92... there are too many ebayers underselling good product and hurting the market for every one else... I think you've got better quality buyers following you... 😊

So when you find a glassybaby what does it say on the bottom so a person may know or is there an emblem of some sort thank you love you and that beautiful family..saying hi fr Nova Scotia Canada 💜
These thrift stores realize that resellers are buying a lot of their inventory so they figure they want to make the big profits instead of the resellers. That is why the prices on the items are so high.

The “green” glass with a “J” probably not an”I”may not be worth much But J. Palmer was a popular Orioles’ baseball player, So there’s a bit of trivia… 🤷♀️
The graphics included a golf ball and a number "1". I believe it references pro golfer Arnold Palmer and either the first hole, one of his tournament wins or his propensity for hitting a "hole in one".

Laura Cardwell is in love with the bowls with lion heads that you passed by 😁

Thanks for bringing us along. It must be hard to video when your being stared at I appreciate you
Congratulations on beautiful baby Laurel and your new home. Thanks for all videos they make my day.
Oh, wow...I was there at the Thurmont GW yesterday. Found a beautiful tall Morgantown orange vase and a Raku planter
The bookshelf is IKEA and it was made that way
Love finding teapots without lids. They make great planters! Especially for African violets!
How is the baby?
Love the wind chime owl!!
The spaghetti glasses bring back memories!! As I recall they were bonus pieces from a grocery store in the 60s. Mom had the iced tea & hi ball styles
I think it would be really fun to watch you doing your research. And you’re doing it anyway you can make a video out of it. Thanks so much Jocelyn!
Those cordon blue bowls, Laura Caldwell found one in Paris recently!
Loved the milk glass dish. That edge is called dancing sailors. I have a few of those rose Marigold glasses--and Imperial dishes with those roses!

That teapot with the missing lid would make a fantastic planter
I thought the exact same! Even said it out loud.
You make me want to go thrifting 🌹
Wow everything is so high in price!
It’s crazy! It’s used items.

I have been collecting Dutch Wax cups and Mexican glass, so whenever you pass those up I want to grab them through the screen and look. LOL!
