I genuinely don’t understand how people think crystal sage is easy. For the stage in the game you fight him in he is almost always at least somewhat challenging. If you are fighting him without alot of upgrades and vigour, he is actually hard.
Yeah, i don't get It, yeah, he could go down pretty quickly, but his damage is absolutly massive for a early Game bossfight, you can easily get melted in second phase, i can do more than half the Game bossfights first try at this point, crystal sage is usually not one of them, even if i beat It third try at most, but definitly a challenging bossfight unless you dump a lot of your early levels into getting more HP
First play through he was very hard but on my 2nd, I decided to just gun it straight to the real one without worrying about the clone and it’s piss easy then because his clones disappear when he tries to escape and if you deal enough damage fast enough they won’t fire any spells
Maybe it's similar to how the starting bosses in ng+ tend to get blitzed with your relatively high power in ds1? I still find them difficult tho so idk
I… died to Pinwheel, I’m pretty ashamed of it. I heard that Pinwheel was considered comically easy and I went in some time after I killed Quelaag. I ran at him cockily and got OHKO’d when all of his clones fired at one. Killed him on my second attempt.
I unironically love the puzzle bosses and I'm very sad they got shafted over time in favor of flat featureless arena boss fights that all practically play identically to eachother. It adds to the sense of adventure that you're outwitting these titans, with scrappy tactics, instead of just overpowering them. It honestly deflates alot of hype around the legends when they can just be bested by a naked man with a club who somersaults REALLY good. I think possibly the folding screen monkeys or the old hero might be my favorite personally
@@BillySYT it’s hard to say what is a puzzle boss and what is a gimmick boss, but one way would be to just choose one from each game that is clearly a puzzle, then just rank them from worst to best? I think the most clear puzzle bosses are dragon god, bed of chaos, executioner’s chariot, witches of hemwick, ancient wyvern, folding screen monkeys, and spiritcaller snail(the one with a crucible knight specifically).There might be better choices but those r just off the top of my head.

I've been watching Challenger Andy do a couple runs of DS2 and Prowling Magus and the Congregation has been and will be brutal in both. First, the Ring Only run wherein all of his attacks require him to be damaged let's the Magus get off with constant healing for everyone whilst Andy barely ever gets hit. This turned the fight into a total slog that felt like it could go on forever without better strategies. Second is the All Fume Knight run, and it goes without saying that this becomes the single hardest boss in that context.
I've died to deacons curse more time than I'd like to admit. I've never died to the temple monkeys I think but the dragon still sometimes oneshots me if I'm zoned out.

Most hilarious thing for me about Old Iron King is that i've never died to the hole. no I die to the camera and accidentally flinging myself off the entire platform near the primal bonfire door during the fight cause he looovvveesss spamming his fire attacks for me for whatever reason. it is rather embarrassing to say the least.
I like to go after pinwheel at the start of every run to get kindling and silver serpent ring. And I used to find him quite difficult like that, but I've gotten used to it.
8:55 if that's so, why weren't sekiro's minibosses included? Some of them are laughably easy, such as okami leader shizu and, of course, the mist noble. The centipedes are a joke too, but on ng+ they have like 3x poise.
Because Sekiro's Mini-bosses are Mini-bosses. You answered your own question - The Living Failures, while I feel they serve as an entre to Lady Maria's fight, are still technically considered main bosses in their respective game.
I feel the Lost Giant is the easiest boss in DS2, simply because I don't consider it a tutorial boss and the clerics in the congregation have gotten my health decently low, unlike the moveset of Lost Giant.
Once you realize the Congregation is susceptible to alluring skulls (which you will have in ABUNDANCE after defeating the skeleton lords) then it immediately ceases being a fight and just turns into this sad slaughterhouse
Tbh when I faced the one reborn I was like level 40 and he destroyed me 20+ times.. Comparatively 2 days later I killed gehrman on my 4th try. One reborn was the boss who took me the most attempts along with Rom
tbh it's Dragonrider for DS2 for me (even without the arena change) with Magus+Congregation, as easy as they are, the ranged lightning attacks *do* get me sometimes and the crowd can overwhelm as much as Deacons tbh but Dragonrider eh. it basically just feels like one normal enemy (and for a Knight type enemy he doesn't even come close to being one of the harder ones)
I've only played Elden Ring. It's kinda hard to pinpoint a definitive easiest boss with that difficulty can depend heavily on how much prior exploring a player has done prior. But yes, I agree on the Mimic Tear. I've fought it both fair and square and with the cheese strat. As much as you talked down the tactic of unequipping gear, I think there is something to be said about a battle that's so easily cheesed no matter what build you have. But yes, even when you fight it fairly, you've likely used whatever weapons you have long enough to know their weaknesses. Plus, oftentimes the boss will just spam the weapon skill, making the fight ridiculously predictable.

DS3? if its not wolnir than its definitely Yhorm. And honestly I'd put yhorm just on principle. Atleast Wyvern and Wolnir let you use your own gear, and theres a frantic rush before you get overwhelmed. Yhorm is just...boring... The storm ruler is NOT a fun mechanic, infact its easily the worst of it's three iterations. And unlike the Witches its NOT cheese you're clearly meant to use it, and if you did siegwards quest the boss fight is even MORE of a joke... and who DOESN'T want to help onion bro?? just so you can make an already laughably easy boss just slightly more tedious?

DS2 is one of my favourite games and I’ve played it plenty of times, and I just don’t see how it’s fathomable to put anyone other than covetous demon as the easiest. You have to TRY to get hit, he does no damage even if you do get hit, his arena is large enough to run away to heal if you need to, he has no range…on my first playthrough of this game, my first souls game, I died to every boss 25+ times…Covetous Demon was easier than a world 1 Super Mario bros 3 enemy Magus sucks and is also easy but range and the amount of enemies is enough to at least slightly make the odd player panic or get caught in a weird spot.

Here is my top off my head list with basically no thought at all. Demons souls: old hero. Keep in mind ive only beaten this once: with sound masking, this chump swings wildly where you can make quick work of him while he's confused. Dark Souls: probably ceaseless discharge. If you smack his hand he falls in the lava and died. Not really much a challenge here. Moonlight butterfly is close but actually can shoot pretty strong magic and stays away from your reach. Dark souls 2: seems kinda cliche but covetous demon. He's fat and slow barely any threat. What else can be said about this loser. Dark souls 3: hmm probably high lord Wolnyr, he's cool looking but breaks as easily as his bracelets and then it's back to hell with this chuckle skull. Bloodborne: probably the witches of hemwick or failures. The witches really are dumb slow and no threat except when the second one shows up and then they can stun which is kinda yucky. Sekiro: never beaten it, 😅 probably lady butterfly because all you do is the overhead sword slam x100 and she dies. Elden Ring: man there are a lot lol.

Crystal sage is one of the harder bosses if you're a mage, his magic resistance is insane and he can one shot you easily

Leechmonger can be hard as shit is you go there immediately after 1-1, which I did in a playthrough where I wanted the MLG in 5-2

Personally I think the cemetery shade that has like 12 HP is the easiest boss in Elden ring, the mimic tear is a good pick tho
