Using pale shade blush to brighten apple cheek/middle part of the face is a very popular technique in China now. The dark shade blush is used as face contour. The pale pink color is for people who have warm skin tone and the pale purple color blush is for people who have cold skin tone, especially for olive skin tone. As someone with a light skin tone those white based blushes do appeal to me, but I think the amount of light shades is overkill, there should always be a range so everyone has good options, and I don’t think any brand should be exempt from that regardless of style or their location

I bought the flower goddes blush in remembrance and the Unicorn blush in Frosty Rose, the Unicorn one is not very pigmented and it's super white and light I really loved the packaging but I wouldn't buy more of these, I'm not even that dark and it just won't show up on me😭 The flower goddes one is very pretty and its pigmented with just a swipe, definitely love that one more!

Haven't heard of flower knows before, but I am a big fan of florasis, which is also a Chinese brand known for beautiful packaging - and I personally like their formulas as well. I wonder if they're sister companies!

Chinese cosmetic companies will, from time to time, try to penetrate markets overseas. Which is admirable. But that is going to be hard to do when they don't have products that will work on Western consumers. Unlike China which is not as diverse as, say New Zealand, where Judy lives, I believe they will struggle to find their footing. Because the complexion products won't suit the majority of the various demographics that make up the international market. Korean beauty is trendy and influential, which is why many people are drawn to it and inspired by it even if they themselves aren't Korean. The Chinese beauty sphere, in comparison, does not have the same scope or degree of influence on international markets. This is probably due to the lack of "soft power" that China has on the global stage. I would suggest to Chinese cosmetics companies that they start looking into the possibility of creating a brand that intentionally tries to form a bridge between Chinese beauty and the international consumer. Content creators who speak English and Chinese should aid their marketing efforts by making Chinese beauty accessible to the foreign markets by explaining and demonstrating concepts in Chinese beauty, and showcasing Chinese brands. And at the same time, they must simultaneously adapt the content to appeal to a wide variety of consumers. Surveying and analyzing the market and making use of marketing consultants based outside China should be their top priority before making any more investments in "viral marketing", which is what many of these brands seem to rely on as a crutch.

I see a few ppl talking about cruelty free status and this brand so I wanted to repost a comment I made there are a lot of products that are made in the PRC but don’t physically sell in China, so although there may be labour rights issues they can be cruelty free. When it comes to makeup and labour rights though it’s harder to avoid “fast makeup” vs fast fashion. Even a lot of American made makeup products are mostly made in the global south, just assembled in the United States and then legally allowed to say they are made in America. Most everything you use is from the global south x

China has passed legislation no longer requiring animal testing on all cosmetic products. There are still some products required, such as products meant specifically for babies and ones with new unfamiliar ingredients. But many general cosmetics are no longer required to test on animals.

China has passed legislation no longer requiring animal testing on all cosmetic products. There are still some products required, such as products meant specifically for babies and ones with new unfamiliar ingredients. But many general cosmetics are no longer required to test on animals.
@@michellec8522 this is actually false and based on propaganda. please trust me when i say that vegan activists do a lot of research into animal testing laws. you can look at logical harmony and cruelty free kitty for accurate information on current animal testing laws in china.
They do sell physically in China, which doesn't mean they're not cruelty free though
