      @@chrisg8321 I can’t find my latest bill right now but one we average about $300 a month. It wasn’t that long ago we were paying less than $300 a year, then it jumped to $600 a quarter, now its $300 a month. When we got the “relief” payment they sent us a bill for $998, apparently we were paying for estimates and they were a little out. Pretty soon between rent, power and fuel i might as well quit my job and pitch my tent in the street, i’ll have the same amount of available cash.

I refuse to pay out of pocket as taxes pay this stuff we can't choose. If gov wants solar on my roof then gov can pay 100% no less and all Australians should ask for same and no less instead of tearing up countryside cause environmental degredation is a problem but climate change does not exist with satellite temps from 1979 prooving a 0.06% temp rise since 1979 - there is no climate crisis.

    Id prefer coal and nuclear stable power for Australia as it allows for the prosperity of Australian citizens. Green energy is unstable highly expensive and not effective.

    Senator Roberts, my husband and I are in rural nsw. We are in the path of a double set of 500kv transmission lines across our farm.
    There is ample room further past us up the road, crossing scrubby farmland that is pretty useless and where the owners have said they are happy to host the lines.
    Why are EnergyCo, the government body organising this debacle, so intent on crossing cleared croplands and grazing country?
    To add insult to injury, the lines are going to be placed so close to our house that we are not permitted to live in it. As a result we are being compulsorily aquired. We were told we could move elsewhere on our property. The only land on our farm that is far enough from the proposed transmission lines is on flood prone creek flats. Who in their right mind would build there?
    Community consultation is in name only. They put out a questionnaire early on and completely ignored the responses. They hold periodic drop in meetings where they say what they think you want to hear, then do what they want anyway.

      There are so many more like us. It really is heartbreaking.
      When the prime farmland is gone, where is our food coming from?
      Overseas with poorer quality control, a much larger transport carbon footprint (for those who believe carbon is a problem) and a lot less fresh.
      A lot of fresh food that comes in from overseas is gamma irradiated to kill pests ... then we eat it. I'll take the local food without the radiation thanks.

    Renewable energy is another name for a land grab by the parents for the children inheritance of the wealthy. Sure there is the corporations and purchase of the materials but the reality behind all the smoke and mirrors is a land grab.
    See Dutton wants to use what is available and an infrastructure is already in place which is different to the renewables where they buy up land and farmers land to add a new structure and add more to expand that structure to work but still, there is the land grab.
    With all the money that has gone into this and other (such as highways, buildings etc) what really has been done? debt for the next generation. Get rid or wait till the old generation has gone so there is no opposition- make the generation children of the boomers sick enough and make their life hard as they will not have a fight in them to argue, just accept. New generation will accept if the solutions appear to them as an easy way out - " you will own nothing but you will be happy because we will give it to you but we will not tell you, making a deal has consequences. Renewable and climate together and make the weather, there is a way to divide from the argument of common-sense and reality, that you can't ask the Jinn (genie) for something and not accept, it's not given away for free for your benefit, there is the catch- I think the farmers who sold and the states and the Senate and federal politicians borrowing a loan had it's consequences when they knew all they had to was to create a circumstance that will halt production and place those who took out a loan that the creditor shaped it knowingly what they were doing is going to push the debitor to a spot, the creditor wants his money back for his war when he already created and implemented the war on all mankind.
    Renewable energy is a farce to extract that money through stealth.

We hear cheap cheap cheap but all we see is more expensive plus get given warning to not use appliances because we risk blackouts!

    • @SaintKimbo
      @SaintKimbo 18 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา +1

      It's the biggest lie of all, that renewables will be cheaper, renewables require a 2 to 1 ratio, which means that you need to build twice as much potential generation so you can overcome sun and wind shortages at different locations.
      You then have to tie it all together which will take an estimated extra 10,000 kilometers of transmission lines running around the countryside, so, if transmission costs and the local poles and wires are already more than 40% of the current power bills, with so much new transmission lines required, it is a mathematical impossibility for renewables to become cheaper than they are now.
      This is why the CSIRO report didn't add in those costs, they just 'assumed' the required infrastructure would be in place, it doesn't suit their narrative to include the real costs.
      The Australian public is being hoodwinked in the worst possible way..

    • @knight2425
      @knight2425 17 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา +1

      @SaintKimbo renewables maybe the cheapest form of electricty but then you need to add in the costs of the thousands of klms of transmission lines that need to be built, all the land that people need to be compensated for by the government to build these transmission lines, the replacement costs of renewables after 15 year's, our increase in gas to supplement renewables etc etc, these costs we are paying for with our increasing power bills and our bills aren't coming down anytime soon. With Nuclear being built on existing coal plant sites we actually save billions not needing to build transmission lines plus the plants lifespan is 4 times or more longer so Nuclear definitely looks the cheaper option.

    • @SaintKimbo
      @SaintKimbo 16 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      @
      I think we should just reco at least some of our coal powered plants and invest in carbon capture to minimize emissions.
      It's becoming clearer that either road, renewables or nuclear are going to be hugely expensive and take decades to implement properly.
      The US has just pulled out of the Paris accords and they are going to move away from renewables to an extent, and China already has nearly 1200 operating coal power plants, so what the hell difference are we going to make by achieving lower emissions?
      We had cheap, reliable power for 80 years or so because we have coal coming out of our ears, why fix something that isn't broken?
      We can work towards lower emissions and gradually introduce renewables over the long term, there is no need to strain our economy if the biggest polluting countries on the planet are not going to pull their weight, it's just become purely an ego trip, virtue signaling for Australian 'Elites' so they can boast like school kids in a playground about how good they are, negative zero, for the rest of the country.

    • @knight2425
      @knight2425 16 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      @ I agree we are being screwed over by the rest of the world to hit an emissions target that won’t do much other than destroying our own economy, the US, China and India are responsible for over half of global emissions yet they don’t have to decrease them and are allowed to increase them, we are responsible for only 1% so definitely we are being screwed. My understanding is that if we pull out of the Paris agreement that it will have a negative effect on our farmers as the other countries will hit us with penalties but even worse is that late last year Labor promised over $400 billion to developing countries to help them with their emissions and in those countries China and India are major benefactors from our money! How much more can we be screwed over by other countries!

    I would consider leasing my property in Tyabb for battery storage. I would have to get an electric vehicle charging port or two out of it. And a meter.

    It also inceases losses to to extra tranmission and conversion to D.C and back to A.c power. The whole thing a is a crock...these people are making lots fo money. Lowest cost reliable and efficient, now there is an oxymoron. Renewables are not reliable, they are not cheap and they have no longetivity. It doesn't matte how long you tell a lie, it is still a lie.

      Where do you think the copper, silver, bauxite (for aluminium), lithium, cobalt, sand (for solar panel glass) etc come from? Unicorn fart dust?
      It's all from mining and far more toxic than coal.
