What a beautiful design. I’m currently hand quilting a quilt using the big stitch method, but I’m not sure what size pearl cotton I am using as it’s a large spool that I got from a charity shop that is unlabelled. Is size 12 a large size of pearle cotton?
Valdani is a European perle cotton so follows a different sizing scale than the DMC and other brands we frequently see. Size 12 is the smallest size Valdani makes. Hope this helps!!

TanyaQuilts great question, Tanya! We like to use 50 wt Aurifil thread in the bobbin when using #12 Valdani in the top as in this video tutorial.
