Mackeral all fished out where we live. Used to be able to put a bucket overboard 30 years ago and just pull them out. Never thought they would be gone. Guess if you continue like you are, you will be the same as us in a few years.
I don't know if they're ugly wherever it is that you're at, but if they're not, then you guys made a bad trade in getting Mackerel for your strippers. I hope you guys know somebody that knows how to make Stockfisch cuz as far as I know, Mackerel doesn't taste good any other way If the strippers were pretty, I would have gotten at least Halibut for them. If they were gorgeous, I would have gotten Swordfish... at a rate of 3-5 Swordfish per stripper
