These washers actually had very good wash action. Certainly better than what they're putting out today especially the whirlpool family of washers, with the commercial washers being an exception.
I'm glad you taped this. I have this very same exact washer. I'm not getting the rinse cycle as I'm supposed to. I see on this video, the tub is filling up with water as it during the wash cycle. Mine doesn't, it only fills up partially then completes the rinse cycle. I thought something was wrong.. how do I fix this ??
My parent's had one of these, I think a 2014 model. It worked great for 4 years until my brother seriously overloaded it one time and broke it. He put what should have been three large loads in as one load. We had an extended warranty on it and got it fixed but it only worked for another year before breaking again. We replaced it with an early 2000s Whirlpool direct drive which has now been working flawlessly for 4 years.
If I saw this correctly, he had it set for super water level which meant it should have filled all the way but did not. That might be why the customer replaced the washer.
These fill all the way for wash but ONLY to the lowest level for rinse. It's pathetic. Not even surprised the customer probably got tired of their clothes being torn up.
Oh gosh it's one of these machines. They always fill to the lowest water level for rinse, so I wouldn't recommend washing large loads in this unless you want your laundry wrecked. Luckily mine didn't get wrecked but still, using one of these on vacation once was almost a "learn the hard way" experience.
I've got an early 2000s one that fills to the same level as the wash for rinse. And has a "power rinse" option that makes it spin before filling for rinse.

I think the Maytag commercial washer is great
@@Thedonsmoney25823 yes so is the Whirlpool commercial
Im hoping that alliance laundry buyed maytag to whirlpool along speed queen@@Thedonsmoney25823
I love this washer, it really moves around the clothes and the bumps on the walls of the tub allow for more scrubbing which really cleans the clothes
A Hydro-Wave!?! Haven't seen one of those in like 10 years

According to the serial number, this washer was made in March 2016
I needed a little more water to aid in the rollover.
Hi should do a vid on one of the older chug-chug machines.

Hey Kirk
what year would you say this washer was built!
Probably 1995 idk
It was made in March 2016
@@mrmaddocs68752What- he washers were made in 2011, this definitely doesn’t look like a high efficiency washer so it wasn’t in March 2016
It was made in March 2016 ecause even after 2011 they had this design and was still in production at the time and even in 2016
