    Thank you for this video. I'm coming to Europe for work but I intend on saving as much as possible while I do thorough research on where best to move to with my daughter probably permanently.

      That's very exciting! Definitely a good idea to save as much as possible! It's an expensive process but I would say it was worth every cent in the end. Good luck with everything!

    Tip: If you are getting or renewing an RSA passport, its very convenient to do it through a bank. I did mine this way, and it was 15 mins in to register, 1.5 weeks wait, and 15 mins in again to collect.

      Great tip! Definitely sounds so much easier than what I went through at home affairs! This was before you could do it at the bank, but definitely a way better option.

      @@lordvader6252 I used Standard Bank, but I believe Absa, Nedbank, and FNB also have supported branches.

    Hi, we're planning to move to UK. We're getting married before going, do you think I need to get a new passport and license, since they are still valid for 8 years.
    I would also like to know how did you transfer or moved your money or did you just withdraw and swiped with your South African card there for the first 3 months?

    Sim, did you fish in RSA(South Africa)? What did you catch there?
    Is fishing the popular activity in RSA amongst white population?
    Do you have enough suitable places for fishing at Pretoria area?

    • @QuirkyLivingSim
      @QuirkyLivingSim  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Evan, I must admit that I don’t have a lot of fishing knowledge. I know that fly fishing is quite popular in some areas like Dullstroom and then around the coast fishing is also quite popular!

      I have thought of Canada, but the UK was easiest for the first step as my husband is a British citizen. I have family in Australia so would be nice to be closer to them as well. I'm very open to trying most countries actually!

    I'm guessing you have UK ancestry, your South African accent isn't that strong. Either that or you're picking up the local accent well :)

    • @tangomike15
      @tangomike15 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      There are many South African accents. We don’t all have Dutch ancestry. Even some who do have Dutch ancestry sound like English speaking South Africans. Her accent is quite normal for an English speaking white South African.
