0:24 "Aww Yeeahhh"
sounds like mordicye from regular show lmao
@@boogiewoogie5996 hahaha it does too
Lol it does sound like mordecai
Isn't HE lovely!
The crowd was chill overall. People around the camera knew it was going on TH-cam. Thank you so much everyone for watching.
i love how he keeps his cool stuff and uses advanced techniques only on some litlle special moments, which means he is not a show of, but a real player, unlike 99% of todays bass/el.guitar players :D
Who hurt you
How he loops the claps over and over then hit hit pedal every now and then to engage it. Just crazy. Almost sounds like a snare.
His intonation is a pretty advanced technique
Jug chug what do you mean by intonation?
I mean, its more a matter of whether you're the kind of player to jam or to just play a song 100% straight everytime and never try and make variations or experiment. Really all it is is showing is time and comfort with your instrument, what some might call mastery. So yea maybe lets not trash talk 99% of musicians for not being masters that started when they were 2 and kept playing into their 50s and 60s
I think one of my favorite things about victor, other than how much he genuinely enjoys music, is how he recovers from "wrong" notes. Like at 8:57 he just takes that and works it into the performance like it was always meant to be there. He is an amazing example of how being a good musician isn't about not making mistakes, it's about allowing yourself to build something out of them.
There's a video of him telling about improvisation and those "wrong" notes and how to make them fell right you should definitely check out
Faire du plus avec le moins, merci pour ces mots.......
There are no wrong notes; just happy little accidents.
Happy surprises
there's a saying "In jazz, play a wrong note once and it's a mistake. Play it twice, and you're jammin but make sure you don't make it third"
0:12 thats some fancy clapping
Nice catch
fr
a drummer most certainly
THAT! Is how babies are made.
Tyler Jacobson lol...
hahah.. totally agree with you#
Porn soundtrack for days, son
Mr. Wooten is my favorite bass player. He may not be the most precise or cleanest I've heard but he has the groove ...and the pocket to hold it.
IMO hes got arguably the best chops of any living electric bassist
He is the reason I bought my first bass 20 years ago
Hes definitely my favorite and as a bassist i aspire to be like him definitely
Jaco?
Hes super clean wym
I wish he made an album that has this song. It's so good
all that fancy stuff in a 4 string, victor is the man
all i want in my life is for victor wooten to play this at my wedding
The world's ears are lucky. This Man is a Musical Blessing to us all.
I love it when Victor does those almost "banjoesque" runs on his bass. I guess with all those years of playing Bela Fleck, a lil' banjo must've rubbed off a bit ;)
He's always experimenting, trying things, one of the most inventive musicians I can think of.
Always fun hearing him play, Go Vic!
if i was in the crowd i would be having the SAME reactions. when you hear grooves that hard, you can't just keep quiet. sooooo awesome
wheres the bloody amazing button on youtube .. once again ... listening to this man takes me to places that only music can - its called Heaven!
+Sophronia Smith - Thanks for the positive vibes. Hope your day is going well.
The chord tone at 5.50 onwards is sublime i think even victor is amused top class
Hands down the greatest bassist in the galaxy , probably the universe. Nobody can touch him.
Victor Wooten literally played his bass so hard during that solo section that his strings FELL FLAT after returning to the head. Jesus.

He just grooves so hard. I love it
HE MAKES THIS LOOK SO EASY!
The battery died, and I had to cut 30 seconds of the performance out of this clip. It really wasn't much, and I am glad if you were in the crowd for this set. Cheers.
Just amazing!!!!! He makes everything look so easy!! Best bass player ever!!
Amazing bass player, great man and teacher. Thank so much for this Victor!
Only the best living bass player! Victor kicks ass
He's so god damn good. Such an inspiring player. Nice too see he has a sense of humour to.
Victor Wooten , the Best I've ever seen in the world
best bass player in all world. no doubt
How has he got a million times cooler with age?
I like bass melody lines. electric guitar is like pop music, bass sound is like soulful RnB to me
this video helps me every time i am feeling down
Awww yeah.
Wow
Never heard of him before but going to Jazz Alley to see him tonight, so l came to check him out and can't believe he wasn't already on my ATF list. Guarantee he is now. Oh hell ya.
Can't get enough of Victor's version of this song
God sent the angel of bass to the earth
I could wake up to this every morning lol :)
How does he manage to switch between two loops? I NEED TO KNOW! Damn he's good.
An amazing muscian and human being......love this man...
I'm absolutly amazed
There's another, less "lively" video of Victor playing this same tune. He doesn't really play around with the audience as much in his playing, but it's absolutely wonderful video to listen to. His playing in both is masterful - it's clear that bass is second nature to him.
1:24 don't Who that was but damn they're right
Put this on repeat on a long drive.. oh yeah
The element of surprise in his expression is akin to the element of delight.
Amazing...absolutely amazing musician right there.
the GOAT
Incredible Victor Wooten
This man is definitely in my top two! It’s a tough one out of him and Abraham Laboriel 😮💨😆
4:15 holy shit holy shit....I actully said holy shit out loud when that happened. WATCH THAT PART

4:25 Jean-Pierre quote by Miles Davis. Victor's been listening to Marcus Miller recently, it seems.
