I respect any Muslim who is able to fast from sunrise to sunset, especially those residing in northern hemisphere countries where fasting can last as long as 18 hours during this Ramadan.

Its not that hard once you are used to it. And have a good predawn meal and water. And mentally we just accept we cannot eat, and it becomes easier to just cancel all thoughts of food and water. 😀

      Look at how Jesus fasted.
Matthew 4:1-3 KJV - Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil.
2 And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungred.
3 And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread.

Personally, I think how we practice Ramadhan is the prove that Islam is not religion that man made.
Human consist of body and soul, everyday mostly we listen to our body, in Ramadhan we're concentrating in building a bridge that will strengthen our connection with The Creator by listening and lift up our awareness to our soul.

I was wondering if when Yeshua Jesus ascended to Father in bodily form as written in the Holy Bible in the book of Acts and then the Holy Spirit was sent 50 days later to people who believed or had faith that He would be with us and in us helping, comforting, guiding and letting us know of things to come which did happen to me and us why I have out lived many people my age and have extra help during this temporary walk on earth before I am reunited with family who were safe in Him meaning Father, Son, Holy Spirit godhead trinity
My grand son's mother was once a Muslim. She is from another country and languages.

There are many objectives of fasting
    1. Seeking the pleasure of Allah
    2. Obtain thaqwa that is righteousness, piety, consciousness
    3. For entering heaven
    4.for expiation Of our sins,
    Stop sins
    5. Seek rewards from Allah
    6. Forgiveness of our sins
If we fast Allah forgive our sins
7.It is to realise the bounty of Allah
    8. To increase our will power
    9. It is to acquire good deeds
    10. To gain more honesty
    11. Decrease our desires
    12. Fasting narrow passage of the Satan
    13. To act as a shield fasting is a shield for a believer
    14. To obstain from the false speech
    15. To obstain from the false action
    16. To acquire shifa
That is the right to intercede
    Right for intersession
If we fast the fast will intercede on the day of judgement for us

This is my first Ramadan, it's surprisingly not hard. Then again, after you kicked a painkiller addiction 15 times, and gone through full blown withdrawal... each time...I don't want to experience anything worse than that again. Combining the two would be murder.

Ahoorakia, the point of Ramadan (for people that have the comforts of life) to have a SMALL taste of what those people feel and how grateful should be. And how grateful to Allah (SWT) we should be for what we have. So yes, it does help us realize what hungry people feel so we should be GRATEFUL.

Salam alaykom.. I just wanted to make something clear because there's a small mistake in the sheikh's lecture.. He said that the heart yells at the stomach and throat that we will not disobey Allah until maghreb, but he only is only talking about food and water, it doesn't mean that after maghreb we are allowed to disobey Allah. Thank you sheikh for your wonderful lectures and may Allah accept our fasting and give us the strength to stay on the right path in this blessed month..

There are several kinds of stages of the human soul. One of them is called "the inciting soul", which incites us to commit evil (nafs-i-ammara).
Type "nafs" on wikipedia, it is well explained I think.
Everyday except during ramadhan, you have to fight against your own desires and against Shaytan who plays with it and whispers to you so that you fall into the bad deeds.
During Ramadhan, Shaytan is gone. You just have to fight against your own soul. It is not easy though, but it's easier.

Few weeks back I read an article where some doctors have a unique way of
treatment for the people with diabetic type 2.... They keep the guy
hungry and thirsty for 3 days (a bit similar to procedure before
appendix operation)...So how it works...Actually the body quickly loses
all the carbs, fats and start breaking the muscle protein to
survive...Right at this stage the miracle happens and today we call it
reversing diabetic type 2... Recently one of my female friend told me
that she managed to help her dad reverse diabetic type two in the month
of Ramadan by cutting the carbs and switching to Leafy green vegetables,
salads and low carb food... Those who are suffering with diabetic type 2
can take advantage of this month of Ramadan and try to reverse this
diabetic type 2 (Ensure you are not alone and follow doctors advice for
    planning your meal)...

Ramalaan the special gift & mercy from AllahuSWT...gives three types of trainig to us.1.self control-by controlling thirsty &hungry till the time of ifthaar.2.patience-by watching the time pateintly to break our fast 3.fear to AllahSWT-by not allowing a single drop of water even we are alone.Through this month AllahSWT purifies us in five ways.1.purifies our wealth by giving sadhaqa &zakaath2.purifies our body cells by giving rest to our digestive organs3.purifies our mind by doing a lot of thowba for our sins.4.purifies our nafs by giving it this fasting exercise.5.purifies our soul from being a slave to world and make it to realize
It's power to control our whole body and all kinds of thoughts and acts.jazaakallahu khairaa for giving us the ramalaan thought.

Yasmeen Aalima Tell me / inform me....how do Muhammadens living in Sweden, Norway ..observe fasting during Ramadan during the summer months? The sun shines for 24 hours & it is always day light!
Did Allah plan Scandinavia to be free of Muhammaden settlement?

    • @tw3ist
      @tw3ist 9 ปีที่แล้ว

And who are the muhammedens? never has that been attributed to islamic history or the prophet himself . The word muslim is more fitting ,muslim meaning submission to God.

    • @gulsenbello1789
      @gulsenbello1789 9 ปีที่แล้ว

***** Hi tw...if it were just submission to god...then you have no need for the Sunnah of your prophet & his hadiths! By living the life not of Allah but of how Muhammad has taught you to pray, pick your nose, fuck your wife etc.....you are following the actions & life style of one mad psycho called Muhammad. That is why you are Muhammadens!

    • @tw3ist
      @tw3ist 9 ปีที่แล้ว +3

Gulsen Bello Your stupidity and ignorance is astounding . The actions of the prophet are in line with the message of islam -"there is no God but God " . Prophet Muhammed (SAW) actions fulfil the criterion of what is a monotheist and what is a polytheist or a disbeliever. the Quran States that the prophets of God don't "speak from their desires ". sunnah means literally in the arabic language 'the path'. the prophet was not distinct from the Quran . He was mentioned along many narrations that he lived the book and acted upon the revelations of God. I just find it absurd that you would pull such nonesensical consensus and there are no contradictions within the speech of God ( Quran) and the path of the Prophet ,as recorded on the hadiths .
