- This week in my #vlog I am going on a journey to the coast of Maharashtra. Specifically to the Malvan coast. With spicy #seafood #fish #crabs #clams and a lot more my table as usual is full of food.
There's just one thing I have to say after eating all this spicy #malwani food, you sweat but you can't stop.

Salute to Raju for his malvani khana but hats off to the real khavaiyya Kunal for his mouth smacking comments.I used to visit Raju when he was literally on the footpath.God bless him.
Maharashtra coastal food the best food. Humongous variety but quite difficult to make . Lot of hard work. Hats off to the hotel owner for having so much variety!!!

@@Deira854 it's Cz those local people only make such food mostly.. So those local people should open such restaurants in other places.. Like in Mumbai, many malvani people from Sindhudurg district stay, so Malwani cuisine restaurants are easily available..

I still remember Maushi serving the chicken gravy from the big steel bucket like vessel, all the gravy food probably cooked at home, and fresh Vade being fried and me eating his Kombdi Vade from makeshift wooden table on the stall.
Yes back then in early 2000s, because of my limited salary the paplet was an occasional indulgence. With a few drinks down and with a massive hunger we would throng this place for the Kombdi Wade and some rice with Surva. Then plonk ourselves down on Shivaji Park katta and discuss life in general.
It feels so great that someone from a humble beginning has established itself well in a very competitive area like Dadar West. I mean there are a good half a dozen famous and notable places here.
As usual Kunal adds his involuntary interjections as he cannot resist the awesome food kept waiting. And of course we all got an invaluable lesson on how best to enjoy the sukha tisrya in best possible way. I am sure that table was wiped clean.

I used to live just across the street. I've grown up eating food from Rajus cart. Miss it so much. Best sukka mutton and vade I've ever eaten.

Thanks Kunal Sir for recommending this place.ordered chicken sukka, chicken sagoti, chicken liver masala , prawns masala and pomfret fry. All the dishes were amazing and with thick malvani gravy. Enjoyed your video also. Thanks Raju bhai 👍

I stay at byculla n Raju is at Dadar. But his temptating fish dishes urges us to visit his restaurant. Before restaurant we used to like to sit at pavement at night time n enjoy his lovely malvan food. 👍

Watching this while I am in Manila and missing Mumbai food. I live this place been there quite a few times in the past. Chinese Mughlai and other few Indian cuisines are available in many joints in Far East n South East Asia.... unfortunately Malvani cuisine doesn't gets the international recognition it deserves.
