Good luck, with the prices rising up and worse now with c-19 it will be a disaster, Chile has always corruption and when the pandemi is over the goverement will make sure that Chile becomes the most expensive place in south america!

I visited Valparaiso a few years ago, and it was exactly the same. The neighborhood around the port was teaming with locals, but Cerro Alegre was completely void of life, aside from the people in our tour group. This was the first time I saw a popular neighborhood in a major city entirely void of life. I thought it was quite strange as well. That being said, this was one of the most disappointing places I have ever visited. The city is basically a giant crime infested slum, and is not worth visiting at all. IDK how this is an UNESCO site, or why the Chilean government markets the hell out of this place. I feel bad for those hippies who wanna "find themselves" and book a three month stay in this dump.
@@briantravelman because most of the locals moved to other citys more modern around valpo, thats is cus the state want to maintain valpo unchanged and preserve the old style and bring more tourists, but is just a mask you know, the rest of the chileans citys are really diferents, most of ppl who stay living in the hills of valpo are poor ppl

It’s not super warm. About 50. Can get to freezing and lots of fog. Cooler than San Francisco.
