In my younger years, way back in the last century (1990's), I too was a strict devotee of humbucker pickups. Eventually, I realized I was missing half the picture. Now I enjoy both equally.

Yep it works just like any 2 screw pickup.
How much do they weigh?
Mine is about 7 3/4 lbs
By design they are Humbuckers.
