Two weeks before I met you at Falcon I caught a 15lb 6oz largemouth on a crankbait. She jumped three times each time I was looking for the bait, she couldn't get rid of it. I was by myself, right at dark. I had two scales with me one said she weighed 15 - 8 the other said 15 - 6 so I settle for the lower of the two. Checked the scales the next day the one that weighed 15 6 was a little light but closer to perfect than the 15-8. Had no idea she was the lake record at the time. Since a 15 8 has been caught and is now the lake record. My recirculating pump was out on my boat so I couldn't get her in alive for Share-a-lunker, which would have been fish of the year in all of Texas. And it was really great to meet you at the gas station in Zapatta and share that with you. Love you Web site. John Koons

caught my pb large mouth last saturday 5lbs. i was throwing a jig pretty much the whole time and was getting nothing. water was 46 degrees. tied on my jerk/rip bait the jackall rerange 110 working it painfully slow, 3rd cast i got her. only fish i caught the whole day. and yes the freak out is real. it’s like buck fever

So frickin AWESOME BRO!! My biggest was a 8 lb 4 oz float tubing out here in San Diego (Santee) specifically, in a local pond fed by the SD river. I caught her flipping a RoboWorm at the bulrushes, and I was just as pumped as you!!! She literally pulled my tube back and forth along the weed line for several minutes til I could lip her. Never apologize for excitment. Mind you this was years before I got married and had kids, but now watching my sons land fish, be it small to large, my joy comes from seeing them just blow up when they hook up and land fish. I've been out there a few times. An area I use to fish on guntersville hasn't been producing for me the last few yrs so I opened up to new options and the convenience of being close by being a tennessean myself. Good luck on your catch! I know there's some big ones in that lake.
My PB is the biggest largemouth caught on video in Washington State... Scott, you'll have to watch it to see how much it weighed. (Spoiler alert... it was 9.86) Oh... forgot... caught her on a spinnerbait.
Bassin NW503 nice! Where at here in WA? Wa is my home state... absolutely love it here. I used to bass fish a ton, but mainly do salmon and steelhead about 98% of my fishing trips now. I’ve only gotten 3lb Smallies in a small lake south of the potholes, and about 5-7lb largemouth in a special lake on the west side. My buddy pulled some 8-10lbs largemouth out of this same lake. Anyway, just curious what water system or lake you pulled that nice smallmouth out of!
It was a largemouth, caught it at Lacamas lake in Camas. It was the first time I ever went there, the only bite I got all day, and I've only caught one fish in that lake since then! I catch a lot in the 5-7 lb. range at a few other lakes here on the west side (I live in Vancouver). I lost one at Potholes in August that would have rivaled that 9-14 though. I played her a long time until she straightened out 4 of the 6 hook points on a deep diving crank... When I was there, I was tempted to fish Corral Lake just below the dam... but I was having boat issues while I was there.
Used to go fishing a lot with my dad when I was really young. Family split up when I was about 6 and I didn’t do any fishing or hunting or camping or anything my dad got me into. I’m 22 now and just back into fishing for real last year and just this year, about a month ago, I caught a 7.6 largemouth. My own pb. Small compared to other people’s PB, but I don’t do a lot of traveling for fishing because of work and obligations and such. The level of happiness I felt is inexplicable. Pulling her in really brought me back to the days when my dad and I would go out camping for a weekend and fish all around a big lake just having a good time. Nothing like fishing.
I’ve gotten 3 PB fish in 2018. My biggest bass of any of the species was a 22lb 3oz striper from the hiwassee river here in TN. I was catfishing with live bluegill. My biggest spotted bass was 4lb 8oz below chickamauga dam while freelining live jumbo shiners. I may be wrong but if I remember correctly, it was within 1.5lb of the state record. 3rd pb was a redear/shellcracker in Ocoee/parksville lake in TN, it came to 1lb 4oz.
PB list. Largemouth bass 7.25 lbs. Smallmouth 3.5 lbs. Crappie 2.56 lbs. And bluegill 1.74 lbs thanks for the video and congratulations Scott. Thank you.
My PB is a 7.2lb Smallie off the bank with a Yellow Popping Pad Crusher. That was about 3 years ago now. From what I now know and understand about big bass thanks to your channel, I was doing everything wrong that i possably could and it just happend to work out in my favor.. Congrats Scott! Nice pig! My PB was 12- 3 1/2 caught June 10, 1975 at the Jensen Savannahs near Jensen Beach, Fl.......caught on an 18” black plastic snake that I used to make by hand pour. A few years later I gave your dad several of them and some 7-0 Eagle Claw hooks he went nuts over (for wild shiner fishing which he had really gotten into.....PVC shiner traps all over the south end of LO. 😬😬). I’ve enjoyed following both of your bass fishing careers and enjoy seeing you win. Good luck in 2019!
nice one.....years ago I lipped a 14.6 lbs. bucket mouth at lake Guerrero Mexico for my boat partner. To this day, we still discuss the fact that I made him release it!!!! I have the picture framed and hanging in my office.... it still brings many interesting conversations to new clients that see it for the first time. I have only caught one over 10 lbs. in my life and hope again one day for another. Bass of that size like yours are truly called "Monsters"!!!!!! My tip for your viewers is "always be prepared for that moment" because you never know when the next cast might reap of that sort of reward....there are many fish tales of the one that got away and how big it was. Keep the faith Scott and love the content.

When I was a little kid growing up in California, Roland was already chasing after big bass. He introduced me to the concept of a "10 pound bass". We had only dreamt of 9 pounders up till then. Scott, I think of your family as Bass Royalty. And you are not unlike Hector of Florida.

Man, that was awesome!! My PB was my 2nd cast bass fishing. I had been Catfishing all summer long and my buddy had been trying to get me to go bass fishing all summer.. I was able to watch him catch his PB one day when I was out there catfishing. He went back home to Florida. I was still in Missouri and was like you know what, I’m going to give this Bass fishing a try. Lol bought some chatterbaits and got to the lake before sunrise. I opened my white and chartreuse chatter bait and original and not knowing anything, threw a California 420 sweet beaver on it.. lol 2nd cast had a 4.10 hit it on a little cheap spinnning rod and reel. It’s a miracle I was able to reel it in. I have been chasing that PB ever since.. Hoping to break 5 pounds this spring 😃
I know this is really late but... I caught a Large Mouth Bass that was 8lb 6oz on a Shartruce (not sure of spelling, sorry) Spinner Bait, out of a Really Small Farm Pond back home in Kentucky. It's still my PB! My Husband was Sooo Jealous, ha ha!
I just got real big into bass fishing at the start if last year. My biggest so far is a 4.3 lbs small mouth. I know it's not huge but I was super excited when I caught her. I caught her on a drop shot with a 3.5 inch paddle tail swimbait and the technique I used was slowly swimming it over rocks while keeping the weight in contact with the bottom, considering I've only targeted bass 1 year I think it's a good start for a pb but I'm looking forward to break it here in Wisconsin.
Awesome fish man! Love the excitement!!!! My PB Largemouth was also from Mexico- (Lake El Salto , Nov 2017) weighing 11.25lbs!! My biggest Smallie is a 7.21 Idaho GIANT!!! Coincidentally, both fish were caught on a Keitech 4.8" Fat Swing Impact- Pro Blue/Red Pear.
I remember when caught my 11 pounder earlier this spring and it was only like the 3rd time i fished the spot. Everyone thought I was on a striper LOL. However I knew it was a bass since I had a senko on.
Hey Scott, that's a huge fish! My pb largie was in Huntsville Texas, 9 and 7oz on an ole FLW garlic lizard. Pb smallmouth came from a secret hole here in East Tennessee. 22" long in a kayak. No scale, probably between 5 and 6. Caught on a fluke.
My PB is 7# range, prior to digital scales. The first was on a 2 1/4" grey Joe Big O. About a week later I caught his sister, that was slightly bigger from the same spot on a chartreuse Mud Bug in 1976. A few years ago, I gave those two lures to a kid was just getting into bass fishing. It was on a POA lake that I fished regularly.
PB Large Mouth is 10 lbs 8 oz caught on Mepps In-line spinner, on light tackle PB rainbow Trout came 3 weeks ago 4. Lbs 3 oz 22.5” long (nice bow for Oklahoma). Have caught many crappie at the 20” mark. Would love to get into some small mouth sometime I hear they are probably the best Lb for Lb fight in fresh water, I like using lite tackle as well. My PB was a 6 pound largemouth. Caught on a Zara Spook on Saratoga Lake in NY. Not a huge explosive hit. I was walking it and I just saw the plug disappear and heard a sucking noise. Then it was ON! Great memory!
Always great videos, love the tourney pre fishin and tourney videos and I love the channel ! My PB Largemouth is 8 lbs and 12 ounces, black n blue jig n pig in Illinois (bed fishin). My PB Smallmouth is 5.10 caught on a whopper plopper in Wisconsin. My PB Spotted bass was 4 lbs 8 ounces, caught in Illinois! (Crazy right) we don't have many here, this one was in a stocked farm pond lol. All released to be caught again someday. Tight lines sir!
I had the amazing opportunity a few years ago to take my stepfather on a fishing trip down to Florida and fish Stick Marsh/Farm 13. I caught a 9lb 12oz giant on a drop shot and a beast bait. One of the greatest days of my life as we caught a ton of fish. I will remember that day for the rest of my life. I hope everyone gets to experience that at least once!
My PB was a 35lb grass carp that I caught in a creek with a small dock runner rod with 4lb mr.crappie line!! It was the craziest fishing experience I have ever had!!!

Nice fish! My PB of 11.4lb was caught in the winter of 2014 on a jig at Author Marshal south launch in parkland. Its crazy how out of nowhere. It just happens.
9.6 lg mouth on a chartreuse buzz bait. Was staying the summer at my aunts farm. Had a rain day and we’re getting wrestles! She said hey let’s hit the pond ( which was in the back yard) and I’ll Paddle you around... First cast I caught my pb at 6 something.... Screamed at the house for my cousins to bring a camera... Before they could make it back to the house and on my SECOND cast I caught that monster!!!! SCREAMING and FREAKING. for them to come back as it towed us all over this pond 😂. That was when I was about 10. Never caught anything close to that since 😒 some 5s and 6s but I will ALWAYS remember that day!!!
My pb largemouth was a 6 pounder that I caught on a 6" suick. I was trying to catch northern pike and casted it up along a rocky shore probably only about 4 feet off of the shorline parallel with the shoreline. I though I was actually snagged on a rock at first, and then felt it tug back. This is in central Wisconsin, and the largemouth don't grow to the same size as down south, so 6 lbs is really nice. Pb smallmouth is around 3-3.5 lbs and have caught several of them around that size from the Wisconsin River system around central Wisconsin.
My pb so far this year (only going to get better) was a 3 pound 6 oz largie that I suspect I pulled 20 feet from lillies. Now I know 3 6 woo boo big deal but (forgot to say my main weedless topwater is the lily ninja mouse from savage gear) the way this fish striked my bait and i set my hook he nearly threw me off the boat.. by far one of the hardest hitting fish I've caught!

I’ve gotten 3 PB fish in 2018. My biggest bass of any of the species was a 22lb 3oz striper from the hiwassee river here in TN. I was catfishing with live bluegill. My biggest spotted bass was 4lb 8oz below chickamauga dam while freelining live jumbo shiners. I may be wrong but if I remember correctly, it was within 1.5lb of the state record. 3rd pb was a redear/shellcracker in Ocoee/parksville lake in TN, it came to 1lb 4oz.
PB list. Largemouth bass 7.25 lbs. Smallmouth 3.5 lbs. Crappie 2.56 lbs. And bluegill 1.74 lbs thanks for the video and congratulations Scott. Thank you.

My PB is a 7.2lb Smallie off the bank with a Yellow Popping Pad Crusher. That was about 3 years ago now. From what I now know and understand about big bass thanks to your channel, I was doing everything wrong that i possably could and it just happend to work out in my favor.. Congrats Scott! Nice pig! My PB was 12- 3 1/2 caught June 10, 1975 at the Jensen Savannahs near Jensen Beach, Fl.......caught on an 18” black plastic snake that I used to make by hand pour. A few years later I gave your dad several of them and some 7-0 Eagle Claw hooks he went nuts over (for wild shiner fishing which he had really gotten into.....PVC shiner traps all over the south end of LO. 😬😬). I’ve enjoyed following both of your bass fishing careers and enjoy seeing you win. Good luck in 2019!

nice one.....years ago I lipped a 14.6 lbs. bucket mouth at lake Guerrero Mexico for my boat partner. To this day, we still discuss the fact that I made him release it!!!! I have the picture framed and hanging in my office.... it still brings many interesting conversations to new clients that see it for the first time. I have only caught one over 10 lbs. in my life and hope again one day for another. Bass of that size like yours are truly called "Monsters"!!!!!! My tip for your viewers is "always be prepared for that moment" because you never know when the next cast might reap of that sort of reward....there are many fish tales of the one that got away and how big it was. Keep the faith Scott and love the content.

Love the channel I love fishing period and let me tell ya Scott my PB was on your favorite lake okachobee in Florida me and my dad use to go there and lake Russell in Georgia but my biggest was in Florida at age 13 a 12.7 large mouth on shiners it was all I could do to do it myself and my dad not taking pole out of my hands he wAs so excited once he seen it break water it was so great I miss him so much but we have so many memories fishing but keep on I'm in Bristol TN shout out to Scott Martin and his team for all y'all do to bring us viewers the videos and all keep it up so I have something to watch lol keep it up Scott

Man, that was awesome!! My PB was my 2nd cast bass fishing. I had been Catfishing all summer long and my buddy had been trying to get me to go bass fishing all summer.. I was able to watch him catch his PB one day when I was out there catfishing. He went back home to Florida. I was still in Missouri and was like you know what, I’m going to give this Bass fishing a try. Lol bought some chatterbaits and got to the lake before sunrise. I opened my white and chartreuse chatter bait and original and not knowing anything, threw a California 420 sweet beaver on it.. lol 2nd cast had a 4.10 hit it on a little cheap spinnning rod and reel. It’s a miracle I was able to reel it in. I have been chasing that PB ever since.. Hoping to break 5 pounds this spring 😃

I caught a Large Mouth Bass that was 8lb 6oz on a Shartruce (not sure of spelling, sorry) Spinner Bait, out of a Really Small Farm Pond back home in Kentucky. It's still my PB! My Husband was Sooo Jealous, ha ha!
I just got real big into bass fishing at the start if last year. My biggest so far is a 4.3 lbs small mouth. I know it's not huge but I was super excited when I caught her. I caught her on a drop shot with a 3.5 inch paddle tail swimbait and the technique I used was slowly swimming it over rocks while keeping the weight in contact with the bottom, considering I've only targeted bass 1 year I think it's a good start for a pb but I'm looking forward to break it here in Wisconsin.

My PB Largemouth was also from Mexico- (Lake El Salto , Nov 2017) weighing 11.25lbs!! My biggest Smallie is a 7.21 Idaho GIANT!!! Coincidentally, both fish were caught on a Keitech 4.8" Fat Swing Impact- Pro Blue/Red Pear.
I remember when caught my 11 pounder earlier this spring and it was only like the 3rd time i fished the spot. Everyone thought I was on a striper LOL. However I knew it was a bass since I had a senko on.
Hey Scott, that's a huge fish! My pb largie was in Huntsville Texas, 9 and 7oz on an ole FLW garlic lizard. Pb smallmouth came from a secret hole here in East Tennessee. 22" long in a kayak. No scale, probably between 5 and 6. Caught on a fluke.
A little over 6 lbs on a farm pond, but by the time I got home it was just shy of 10 lbs! 😏😏. Fishing, got to love it!

My PB is 7# range, prior to digital scales. The first was on a 2 1/4" grey Joe Big O. About a week later I caught his sister, that was slightly bigger from the same spot on a chartreuse Mud Bug in 1976. A few years ago, I gave those two lures to a kid was just getting into bass fishing. It was on a POA lake that I fished regularly.

PB rainbow Trout came 3 weeks ago 4. Lbs 3 oz 22.5” long (nice bow for Oklahoma). Have caught many crappie at the 20” mark. Would love to get into some small mouth sometime I hear they are probably the best Lb for Lb fight in fresh water, I like using lite tackle as well. Thanks for the amazing content as always!
My PB was a 6 pound largemouth. Caught on a Zara Spook on Saratoga Lake in NY. Not a huge explosive hit. I was walking it and I just saw the plug disappear and heard a sucking noise. Then it was ON! Great memory!

Always great videos, love the tourney pre fishin and tourney videos and I love the channel ! My PB Largemouth is 8 lbs and 12 ounces, black n blue jig n pig in Illinois (bed fishin). My PB Smallmouth is 5.10 caught on a whopper plopper in Wisconsin. My PB Spotted bass was 4 lbs 8 ounces, caught in Illinois! (Crazy right) we don't have many here, this one was in a stocked farm pond lol. All released to be caught again someday. Tight lines sir!

I had the amazing opportunity a few years ago to take my stepfather on a fishing trip down to Florida and fish Stick Marsh/Farm 13. I caught a 9lb 12oz giant on a drop shot and a beast bait. One of the greatest days of my life as we caught a ton of fish. I will remember that day for the rest of my life. I hope everyone gets to experience that at least once!

My PB was a 35lb grass carp that I caught in a creek with a small dock runner rod with 4lb mr.crappie line!! It was the craziest fishing experience I have ever had!!!

I'm Landon, and I'm 13. when is was 11 i caught a 9 pounder behing my grandparents house in a pond the size of a swimming pool. Caught her on a rattle trap with a blade on the back, in a blue with brown spots color. BTW you channel is awesome Scott

Nice fish! My PB of 11.4lb was caught in the winter of 2014 on a jig at Author Marshal south launch in parkland. Its crazy how out of nowhere. It just happens.

Before they could make it back to the house and on my SECOND cast I caught that monster!!!! SCREAMING and FREAKING. for them to come back as it towed us all over this pond 😂. That was when I was about 10. Never caught anything close to that since 😒 some 5s and 6s but I will ALWAYS remember that day!!!
My pb largemouth was a 6 pounder that I caught on a 6" suick. I was trying to catch northern pike and casted it up along a rocky shore probably only about 4 feet off of the shorline parallel with the shoreline. I though I was actually snagged on a rock at first, and then felt it tug back. This is in central Wisconsin, and the largemouth don't grow to the same size as down south, so 6 lbs is really nice. Pb smallmouth is around 3-3.5 lbs and have caught several of them around that size from the Wisconsin River system around central Wisconsin.

My pb so far this year (only going to get better) was a 3 pound 6 oz largie that I suspect I pulled 20 feet from lillies. Now I know 3 6 woo boo big deal but (forgot to say my main weedless topwater is the lily ninja mouse from savage gear) the way this fish striked my bait and i set my hook he nearly threw me off the boat.. by far one of the hardest hitting fish I've caught!
Its awesome. Every big bass celebration is the same. I love it.
