'94 EAGLES STEAL SHOW AT 2ND NFF AWARDS NIGHT IN LAGOS

The second edition of the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF Awards night was held in Lagos on Monday night as stakeholders emphasized the need for recognition and reward of outstanding performances in order to get the best from players and officials.
The glamorous event, held in Victoria Island, saw many outstanding individuals and teams going home with different awards. The most interesting part of the night was when the 1994 Eagles were specially honored and members of the team called out on stage for recognition and presentation of plaques. Members of the audience applauded nonstop as the organizers played clips of some of the outstanding matches that the team played especially during the USA 94 World Cup when Nigeria played against former champions including Argentina and Italy with members of the team giving a good account of themselves, losing narrowly (1-2) to Italy in the second round of the tournament.
All the members of the 94 Eagles alive except Emmanuel Amuneke, were present to receive the award. Some of them that have passed on including captain, Stephen Keshi, Rashid Yekini, Uche Okafor, Wilfred Agbonibare and Thompson Oliha, were also specially recognized and honored posthumously.
The class of '94 Eagles was and is still generally regarded as the golden generation of Nigerian football as it was the team that registered Nigeria's presence for the first time at the FIFA World Cup in 1994.

I shed tears 😭 of joy for such functions to have come into play I thank God almighty for the organisers and players honoured too my ex super eagles 🦅 players are the best of 94 squad so far they really conquered the Africa and the world then what an historical moment
