As-salamu 'alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh.
Mash'Allah! This is an excellent and beneficial lecture, dear Shaykh Asrar!
With regard to the heretical issue proposed, that Allah ("Al-Haqq") must, within "possibility", have the power to lie, lest His Omnipotence and Eternal and Infinite Truth be vitiated, I wish to suggest that the English adjectives "possible" and "impossible" really exacerbate this argument.
Indeed, the etymology of the English adjective "possible" ascribes the (circa) thirteenth (13th) century Anglo-Latin _"posse"_ (to have power; to be able), and the (circa) fourteenth (14th) century Latin _"possibilis"_ (that which can be done).
Given this rendering as a theological term, the notion that it is "impossible" for Allah to lie (extrinsically and/or intrinsically) -- that Allah Ta'Ala does not have the power, or is not able, to lie -- seems an imperfect term for this task, namely: the task of negating the imperfection of deception for Allah, Al-Haqq.
As such, perhaps a better English term for Ulema to adopt for this task would be the adjective "conceivable" (and/or "inconceivable"). "Conceivable" derives from the Old French (thirteenth century [circa]) _"conceiven"_ and the Latin _"concipere"_ (primarily, through its past participle, _"conceptus"_ ), meaning to "take in and hold or retain; to become pregnant".
Thus, given this rendering, the statement may be read: it is inconceivable -- beyond comprehension, that which cannot be conceived of, that which cannot be assimilated or taken into the mind (to form a correct perception) -- for Allah, Al-Haqq, to beguile, to deceive, to lie, etc., because Allah Ta'Ala is Eternally and Infinitely Truthful.
Furthermore, the usage of conceivable/inconceivable, rather than possible/impossible (during English language discourse), reorients the focus of this question away from deliberations concerning Divine Omnipotence and temporal impotence, and focuses the necessary scholastic criticism on the (often fallible) human conception or understanding of Allah Ta'Ala, that is, what is and is not a conceivable Attribute for Allah Ta'Ala.
However, in conclusion, I am a great fan of Shaykh Asrar: I wish Australia had a noble scholar like him, whom we could follow with certainty and hope.
I in no way endorse the heretical theology of the Deobandiyya.
    Love from Australia.
    Allahu Hafiz
