    I share your opinion of power tools that won't crank. I bought a brand new one of those 59cc off brand German saws that got a lot of flying time because it was so hard to start. When I went to the woods with my buddies they were cutting wood and I was Stihl trying to get mine to run. After about 5 outings with the saw I took it to the Husqvarna dealer and sold it for scrap and came home with a good starting, awesome 60cc Husqvarna that will start the 3rd pull or sooner, every time. What amazes me most though is how easy my 2 old vintage Homelite saws start. Problem is they are so heavy by today's standards it takes a heck of a man to run them.

    If it continues to run it looks like it’s going to be a beast of a saw.
    Good work Tim.

    Back before I learned to always start my 550s by the book I would flood them and the only way they would start was old school, hold the trigger wide open with no choke and pull until it started. Once I learned to always start these new saws by the book I have had zero troubles since. 592 make be different, but I don't have one yet.

      592 is a version 3.0 autotune different from the other 5 series saws.

    Seems to be a good saw that thing is powerful although i dont think I'll ever need one that big for what I do I got the 550xp and the 372xp and little 14" for the small stuff. I like to watch the tree cutting videos.

    What is the reason for running a new saw like that trying to tear it up or just showing off

    I believe I’ve had some similar issues with my 550xp mk2, it seems to have gotten better after recalibration, it’s took some time but it seems like it’s settled in. Hopefully yours does the same.

    If I'm not mistaken, that has Autotune 3 with no choke correct? I wonder if it's some function of detuning until its broken in and it got a bit confused...

    My Stihl mtronic or whatever they call it does the same thing. It’s not that I don’t like Stihl it’s just seems they need more repairs than my Husqvarna saws. Always having to mess with my Stihl products of any vintage. I’m interested in a 592 what size bar was that ?

    Question on your rotobec. Does that have 4 hoses coming off? So if I have two sets of auxiliaries can I just plug them in with no electronic diverter and run her?

    I’m finding with mine it’s just got so much power even with a 28” bar that the motor doesn’t really load up so I kinda nurse the throttle a bit. I’m not big on piss revving something twice the throttle it needs. It likes to have a very aggressive sharp chain to load it up and run good. I’m thinking actually about going up a tooth on the sprocket. I think guys that run big bars it’ll be perfect but for guys like me that run 24-28 or a 32 skip tooth it’s just geared too low. I go up on I’ll get more chain speed so a faster cut and it’ll load the engine up a bit better. I really think that’s the answer. I could hear yours doing the same thing, that wood was so small it didn’t even know it was there, it was like you were free revving it in the air.

      Chainsaws are made for full throttle. Also safer, less chans of kickback

    • @ctdieselnut
      @ctdieselnut 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@alexstromberg7696 if you're putting the nose of the bar somewhere it could kick back, throttle isn't going to help you. Itll just kick back harder. I've actually snapped a new chain stubbing the end into a trunk after cutting thru a limb while it was on the ground. I'm embarrassed to say it. Nothing about saw engine design specifies it should only be run wide open. I let my stuff warm up and cool down a bit and I know for a fact it lasts longer. Although the trigger on a 372xp is touchy, almost on or off. Original comment guy knows what he's talking about and I agree with what he's saying. I didn't know you could buy different sprockets tho.

      I've put a 8 pin sprocket on mine. It works much better running a 28" lightweight bar.

    I know how to force my 400 to tune itself. I think my 545 tunes in the cut better. I'd pick 590 over the 661. Love Stihl middle weights, but Husky wins in 50cc and 90cc.

    Why are you putting the pull point so low. Your liable to pull the tree right off the stump. A lot safer you you put it at least 2/3 the way up the tree

    • @VTOutdoorServices
      @VTOutdoorServices 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can hitch a rope anywhere it’s handy. It’s all about what you do with your hinge in the cut bud

    • @Firebird_876
      @Firebird_876 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That’s not where the leverage point is, it’s in the canopy. The base tie is just so he doesn’t have to isolate a crotch or limb to pull on. You’re not going to pull a tree off the stump by base tying a pull line.
