When i listen to peyote music it brings bak memories. I remember wen i was little, me n da family wud always use to travel bak to the rez and my dad wud turn up his peyote music and pretend hes holding a rattle in his hand and starts singing along. I miss those times :)
The first song, brings so much memory of my dad. We’d always sing this song together. I haven’t heard it in since I lost him, but I’m slowly coming back to NAC and the beautiful songs that we have.

Became another statistic of drugs and alcohol and these peyote songs bring back memories of a simple time. I've actually met these guys we are from the same area on the Navajo reservation. i remember when i was a lil kid forced to go into meetings with the elders...they always sang these songs...i love the happy birthday song they always sang that for my birthday and our other family members it was always so funn to sing along!!glad the blackhorse's are in my family!!

many times, english words are used.....such as in a birthday celebration....when you hear that, you know that the song is being sung to help give Blessings to the person who is having a birthday that day...Birthdays are very important.....it means a lot, it is Sacred......Birthdays , and Death days..are both very important and Sacred days in our lives...2 days we need to keep in mind as we go through this Life.......Peyote makes us keenly aware of just how Sacred and important these 2 days are for us....and all our relatives we share our lives with.......
