    About my hair...
    I have fine, chemical-free hair. Chemical free means no relaxer...no color...no nothing. :) I mainly wear my fine, natural hair in TWIST OUT styles. For me, twist outs are a protective style that have allowed me to retain length while enjoying wearing my hair 'out.'
    I also love for my fine natural hair to have lots of bounce, curls and volume!

    Well, I think you need to trim your ends. If your ends are damaged and dry, there is nothing you can use to fix that. Now, I have super dry 4c hair and colored. I put this on my dry Afro and put on a shower cap and my silk bonnet over it. In the morning, my hair was super super soft

      Thanks for the tip! I’ve since gotten a professional trim so hopefully I’m good to go for a while. I’m glad your hair loved it. 😊

    The video I saw on the Amika website had someone using this immediately after the leave-in conditioner. Wash, conditioning masque, leave-in conditioner, then this, then dry (air or blow dry 75%). Next day silk press so that you aren't getting fully dry to the silk press level right away after washing.
    If you still have the products left and aren't 100% ready to give up on them, try them like this. The wash out conditioner though I'd skip and replace with any hydrating deep conditioner you have since I doubt you want to invest in the amika masque at this point! Also, you used way, way more than the recommended amount! It's like you were trying to moisturize all the way from dry hair to moist feeling. If you put it on after already damp hair you can just use about as much for your entire head of hair as you were using for each section. I've only ever used the overnight hydration treatment so far, and use just 2 pumps for my entire head and it instantly makes my hair softer, so I think it might be a matter of finding the right way of using it for how you do your hair. I wouldn't use it with a silk press at all. Hope this is helpful.
    Thanks for helping me rule out the idea of trying it as an overnight pre-poo. Took way too much product to get from dry to damp the way a prepoo should!

      Hey 👋🏾 there!! I don’t have the product anymore, I returned it to Sephora. I wish I had seen the same Amika video you did b/c I sure would’ve tried the method you told me abt. 😄 I looked and looked b4 I tried it. Oh well… I really appreciate your application tip & feedback. I don’t know it all, so hearing your perspective helps. 🙋🏾‍♀️

    You are SO RIGHT! I'm a man with short, thin hair that needs a specific kind of moisture. I do exactly what you do, with vetting products and salon services...I'm so open-monded with what options I potentially have, but sometimes when I come back from a salon experience, I notice I get more of a moisture experience from my home products. Now that I've watched more of your videos, I can tell it's because I have a uniquely thin hair style that requires, not only amika, but a more forthcoming conversation about my hair type with my stylists.
    Thank you so much for giving me this info, it's not only going to save me money I the future, but its going to make all of my future salon escapades more productive!!
    THANK YOU SEXY HAIR GODDESS😊😊😊😊😊

      Hi! I’m glad you appreciated it. My hair is pretty manageable, but this was just a fail. Let me clarify - this particular line was a fail. Maybe some of the other ones are good. I returned it to the store.

    Hey Regina, sorry it didn't work for you. Thank you for the honest review!
    When you said it has coconut milk/oil, I think that might be the issue. Coconut is fatty and should be moisturizing, but for some of us, it acts like a protein, which dries out the hair.
    Your hair reverts because it appears to be a water-based product. If the overnight serum was not water-based it might work better. I think this product line is not for textured hair.
    I mentioned in my previous comment, that I have two Amika hair masks that I have yet to try, I think I am scared. 🫣
    Aveda has an overnight treatment from the Nutriplenish line that I want to try, but the price makes me cry 😢 I'm going to see if I can get a sample of it, I'm curious now about overnight treatments.
    Have a great weekend! 👍😊

    See you put it on dry hair I put it on after I washed it and went to sleep with a thin cap on my head but it was wet I used a tshirt towel to get most of the moisture out . When I woke up it was slightly damp and I blow dried and flat ironed as I typically do

    Was thinking that their website has an online chat. That could have been a good option to find the answer you were looking for. I took a hair analysis (two in fact) from Lemma Labs. I am a white girl with 3a & 3b curls and I’ve been told for years my hair type is fine and high porosity. My two tests came back as medium hair and very low porosity. Long story short, find out your hair type, and if you’re low porosity too, when is the last time you used a clarifying shampoo? If you don’t use clarifiers, you could have product buildup, and that would prevent any products from working properly. I am interested in trying this line, and like you, came to TH-cam to check out real life reviews. :-). I’m interested in the leave in spray the most. Good luck!

    • @NaturallyCorporate
      @NaturallyCorporate  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi there! I appreciate your advice. I really wish I had seen a chat box - it would've been super helpful. I've never taken a hair analysis. I'd like to look into it b/c I don't really know what porosity I have. Thank you!

    • @franmorr1966
      @franmorr1966 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@NaturallyCorporate there’s a ton of info on hair porosity. However, many will resist the water test saying it’s not accurate and too many variables would give a false reading. The hair test by Lemma Labs that I took was only $50.
