I just realised there is a Drum but no Drummer. I know they had one (Victor) but the company made him leave which was quite a big controversy. Why would they put empty drums into the video, that kinda highlights what happened

did they put the drum as subtle message to remind us of Victor? Hope thats the case, the group seems like it have potential. Its a shame they do Victor like that, he know a lot of languages and that should make this group become popular international very fast. but now its gone!
First I was flashed by this outstanding song. Then looked around to find more about this Band and remembred the song "Who took my candy". And after that, I recognized the empty drums. Sad, they lost their drummer for such a ridicoulus reason as broken drumsticks... good luck and much success for the remaining three of AboutU!
He on purpose broke them like that's equipment, I can understand why the company would get mad. Maybe kicking him out and banning him from everything was too far but that would be like if the guitarist threw the guitar over his shoulder and it broke like that's damaging equipment that you should be taking care of. I suppose they could've just given him a slap on the wrist but he wasn't smart when he did that it was unnecessary the company prolly thought it was taint their image.

I think it speaks volumes that there is an empty drum set and no drummer until about two minutes in, and it's the lead singer Yi Soo playing for literally 3 seconds. The group was "About U" and now they are "AboutU", listed as separate artists on Spotify with only their 2020 single "Candy Addicted" credited to the former and all the other discography being credited to the latter. I'm still a big fan of "Who Took My Candy", the guitar melody is awesome (IMO the best from all their tracks)! However, there is something...classy? about this video and song. It really shows off their new style and I am hoping for a lot more songs of this level
