- (4-26-19) This has to be the coolest Dover elevator I have ever ridden! This elevator has a very unique car panel, but the real attraction here is the motor.
Andrew has told stories about the legendary Dover elevator at the St. Louis Galleria, and how it had the most musical motor ever. Since that elevator was replaced, there has not been another elevator found with a motor that epic. According to him, this motor sounds just like the one at the Galleria!

I've ridden a Dover traditional(s) that sound *just like this one* it was so awesome I would ride it over and over again again. There were like 5 elevators and only 2 had the epic motor.

This one also sounds similar to the 1984 Dover hydro @ The Jones Building in San Antonio as well. Andrew and I filmed the latter elevator back in April of 2016. Both the '86 Dover presented in this video and the '84 here in SA, are both dry powered I assume.
Definitely an early Dover Impulse. Two big thumbs up on this!

Epic!!! I noticed how these have what sound like EPCO door chimes! I noticed how it rings three times when going down. Anyways this pitch motor along with the B-flat motors are my favorite sounding motors

AMAZING MOTOR AND AMAZING ELEVATOR! Here’s a great example of a great 1980's Dover elevator right here. LOVE THE C PITCHED dry power unit, C Pitched dry powered motors are my all time favorite dry powered motor pitch! There are some Dovers in my area with this motor. The Monmouth County Library Manalapan Township/Headquarters Branch has this exact motor and it too is a 1986 Dover elevator but it has Dover Traditional Fixtures. Nice video as always, and keep up the outstanding work dude!

That's a really nice elevator, not only is the motor awesome but it's got the single up and down lanterns which is kind of rare.

Epic motor
Probably the most unique Dover elevators I've heard.
Sounds EXACTLY like at Macy's WS that get gets low on oil all the time but that one is a TKE Dry Powered that REPLACED the Montgomery G&P. This is DEFINITELY VERY 1980's Elevator & It's Relay Logic for sure

@@stlelevators One of my brothers is friends with Andrew (Dieselducy) and I have a brother that is even younger. Both went to this place in 1978 for summer camp.

I saw a Dover traditional machine room (with building engineer as he is really nice) and he showed me that they once had to replace the motor. I guess this is what that old motor sounded like
I've been on a lot of Dovers like this and I've never heard one this epic.
