The reaction of Diegesis of this movie is the reason i started watching reactions. She's out of breath most of the time saying "i cannot" with a pure giant smile. It's one of the purest human expression.
How is NOBODY piinting out the best part of that scene where tom cruise hangs up after ripping them, tosses the phone and calmly says "can you find out who that was please" 😂 i die everytime
I've heard more than a few reactors on TH-cam here mention that they Wonder after watching this why the hell Tom Cruise hasn't done more straight up comedy movies? He was absolutely hilarious in this and it made them want to see him in more comedies. ( Jerry Maguire and some of his other movies had funny moments and funny lines in them, but this is really the only straight up comedy movie)
I saw this in the theater when it came out and had no idea it was him. I can't remember when I found out, but I think it wasn't until months later, thanks to an ad for the DVD release or something.
I remember laughing so hard and so loudly at this scene when I first saw Tropic Thunder that I almost passed out because I couldn’t breathe! Especially when he shouts “I WILL FUCK YOU UP”!!!🤣🤣🤣
I felt so stupid when I saw this movie, and saw that Les Grossman was played by Tom Cruise in the credits. It suddenly made sense why I recognized his voice.
Does nobody really know that this is a dead-on impersonation of Jeff Miscavige? Leader of Scientology and Tom's best friend. This is how Miscavige conducts business. This is REAL. Read up on it.
Another great job of compiling for our smiling. Les Grossman is an iconic character played by the best actor in Hollywood... A little weird, but extremely talented.
I agree with everything you said. TC is my favorite actor in Hollywood. I think he's made some questionable choices in his personal life but that's why they call it a "personal life".

*"I told Ben that I wanted fat hands and that I'm going to dance"* Because of that wild request, along with the the movie and the character, Tom Cruise revitalized his failing career.
Time cruise really needs to do more comedy. He wast advertised being in the film. The entire theater I was in realized it was him about halfway through all at the same time, like “Wait Whaaaa?!!”
when I first saw this movie i laughed my ass off. I watched the credits at the end and I was like, Tom Cruise?? What part did he play?? when I realized he was Les Grossman, I rolled on the floor!! Between Him And Robert Downey as a Dude playing a dude disguised as another dude.. This was a master piece!!
The cast for this was insane and Tom and RDJ killed it too, fantastic performances. This scene was hilarious. Tom def stole the spotlight. Imagine having Tom Cruise n Matthew McConaughey ina scene together, damn
Bill hader is an underrated character in this movie 😅 Also fun fact: tom cruise said he would only do the movie if he got to wear the big fake hands as lex Grossman 😂
Robsquad and Asia and BJ are always fun to chill with. They seem to genuinely get a kick out of the content. But the “Asian Ladies” slways seem to catch the little things. 👍. The thing that always burns me though is that nobody ever catches Pecks ringtone. You know, the song titled “im gonna hold you till I die”I find that to be subtly hysterical.
This is the role that returned Tom Cruise to public acceptance. He went off the crazy cliff with his Scientology but after this movie everyone gave that a pass.
Does nobody really know that this is a dead-on impersonation of Jeff Miscavige? Leader of Scientology and Tom's best friend. This is how Miscavige conducts business. This is REAL. Read up on it.
Man, I wished Tom had picked up more comedic roles in his career. He's really good at comedy. Even in some serious roles, like in A Few Good Men, he brings fun to his characters.
It was blatant to you. At the time of the movie he wasn’t known for being in anything close to this type of movie. The attention to his character wasn’t high.
I'm sorry but Tom Cruise should play this Les Grossman character in a full movie (academy award winner for sure) and keep the great Bill Hader in it.... this is a billion dollar bonafide hit

Tom Cruise redused the money and the role unless his character was fat, bald, Jewish, and had big hairy fists. He literally wanted to portray Hollywood studio CEOs accurately 🤣
im surprise that in this movie they found about flaming dragon by just googling it. because I dont think the DEA or FBI would share info about cartels with Hollywood.
I Sure As Hell Overlooked as a What?...8... maybe a little older?... year old, lol, when I saw this. I Know people watched the whole film and not focused on every little bit in this scene might have Overlooked, and then there's the just Unaware of how Hollywood works, how *scarily accurate* this is to Real Life around that industry... Like Holy Sh*t! This Legendary Movie ✨️ touched on so much!... watching back.😵👏 Major Props to the person who made this movie happen (don't know who the director/ producer was) and glad it gets noticed again. I bet you it was "blackballed" kinda as a popular movie. I know it probably had been labeled as something to fit a certain agenda... Doesn't seem to be the case so much anymore, Haha. 💯
More movies like this need to be made in 2025 so maybe this Country will lighten the phuck-up and get back to laughing again. Where’s “Dirty Grandpa 2”? Or “Les Grossman: Disney Called”?
No disrespect, but the first reactor pisses me off a little, either he pretends he did not recognize the actor playing Less is TOM CRUISE just for show or he actually do not recognize him even all that transformation they gave him (I'm talking about the hairy big hands, bald head and the big glasses). I do not know what to think, how in the world you could not recognize TOM CRUISE?
I heard he was something of a mix of a few different movie moguls, Weinstein among them. Weinstein wasn't the only one with a reputation for being a screamer.
I find it hard to believe most of these have not seen this movie. C'mon some of these people look nearly 30. Do they just purposely avoid great comedy movies from the last 20 years?
The reaction of Diegesis of this movie is the reason i started watching reactions. She's out of breath most of the time saying "i cannot" with a pure giant smile. It's one of the purest human expression.
Yeah, she is in the top tier of reactors - it's more fun watching her than the movie scenes!
How is NOBODY piinting out the best part of that scene where tom cruise hangs up after ripping them, tosses the phone and calmly says "can you find out who that was please" 😂 i die everytime
I die when he whispers/sings “gophuckyerself” before he hangs up. I die every time. Good thing I can regenerate like Deadpool 😂😂
That is the best part of the joke!
yeah editing is terrible!
I was so surprised to see Tom Cruise when I saw this the first time. He absolutely killed it in this 😂

This saved his career. He was reviled for his comments on postpartum depression, psychiatry, and psychiatric medicine.

I'm not joking... this is my favorite Tom Cruise role! Because it's soooooo different from anything he's done! And he did it perfectly!
The best part is you can tell he was having a blast playing Grossman.
I remember laughing so hard and so loudly at this scene when I first saw Tropic Thunder that I almost passed out because I couldn’t breathe! Especially when he shouts “I WILL FUCK YOU UP”!!!🤣🤣🤣
Not used to seeing Tom Cruise in character cursing up a storm like this in any movie.lol/
"Swinging past your knees!", got me. I was already gasping in theater
Tom Cruise’s stipulations for playing Les Grossman:
“I want to have fat hands and I want to dance.”
😂😂😂😂
Best Contract Rider ever… 😂😂😂😂
Les Grossman is iconic character.
Absolutely
Harvey Weinstein
I remember watching this movie and the scene that always stuck out to me was this scene. "Swinging past your knees" lives rent free in my head.
I dig when Mathew McConneghey yelled: "What do you need, Les, glasses?!" 😡
Even though Les, Tom Cruise, is wearing the biggest, goofiest spectacles! 🤓

The makeup and his voice were so good. I knew before I saw it but had to keep reminding myself it was him when watching
It took me until the end of the movie to realize why he looked and sounded so familiar. I beat the credits by like 30 seconds.
Dude’s face on the phone killed me when I first saw it

Underrated line “Find out who that is”
Akhi. You should have added the reaction of the end credits where most of the people recognised that it’s Tom Cruise😅.
Need one with reactors realizing Les is Tom
I'm sure you know already, but he did that very video three days ago.
Tom Cruise had roughly ten minutes of screen time and he still was the best part of the movie for me!

The Flaming Dragon spokesman is Reggie Lee who played Sgt Wu in the show Grimm
Les Grossman needs his own spinoff movie.
No, Hollywood has fvcked up too many masterpieces already. Think Joker 2 but worse.
*"I told Ben that I wanted fat hands and that I'm going to dance"*

Tom Cruise, Matthew McConneghey, & Bill Hader definitely were too hilarious in that scene😂😂😂😂😂
