Really interesting discussion, replicas and knock-off watches are so well-made today that having a verifiable NFC chip makes sense for SevenFriday and makes things so much easier for them while building brand trust. I wonder if bigger brands such as Rolex and Patek will ever need such measures, the black market and the replica business are becoming a nuisance to watch collectors in a big way.

sevenfriday is a swiss watch , that doesn't feature a swiss made mouvement , instead they use a very commun and cheap japanese mouvement , they also have mineral glass crystal instead of sapphire , i would estimate the making of this watch to be max 40-60$ , and they sell it for 1000$ at least , then you find them complain about they counterfeit their watches ,and how hard it is to find the real from the counterfeit, make your watch hard to make and with expesive materials with swiss made mouvement, and you won't face this problem , because there's gonna be a big difference in quality between the original and fake
