Several of them have changed their stories ON THE STAND! Not one of them had “ I hit him “ in their reports. This case is dirty.

If Karen Read admitted to hitting John O'Keefe with her SUV at the scene in front of cops then don't you think she would have been arrested on the spot? However, Karen was allowed to leave the scene unhindered. That tells me that there was no such admission and if Karen ever said those words then it was in response as a question and not a statement of fact. Of course, it is beneficial for the prosecution to accuse Karen of admitting her guilt (because their evidence is circumstantial and vague to begin with) but it seems that was an afterthought as they attempted to build a case against her.

I can't stand listen to these reporters If she confessed to hitting him she would have been arrested and taken in for questioning right away how can nobody see that that they made that up later on as soon as the cop pulled up you hear her say I dropped off my boyfriend and he never came home they don't say that she said that but clearly she did answer their questions I can't wait to hear what Katie McLaughlin says seeing how she's friends with the people that live there and did it disclose that in the direct and the other two I want to hear of course Jen McCabe she has a lot of explaining to do and of course corrupt pervert Michael proctor I can't see how they testify without pleading the fifth because they know the FBI is going to be watching every single word they say on the record

Reporters care more about sensationalism, than being rational. They are saying Lally is strategical and methodical. The guy talks in circles, I feel like Charlie Brown hearing him. Repeats “sorts of” 10 times per sentence. I wonder if these reporters are watching the same trial. And Katie is a joke. I don’t believe so many first responders hear her saying that and didn’t ask her what she meant or even arrested her. Also all of them forgot to write the confession. They had dash cams where you can hear her screaming, but she said repeatedly, running side by side and screaming “I hit him”, but is not in the videos. Or they are lying, or this is the most incompetent group of people. Now, miss Katie defends herself saying that is because there was a cop there by her side. These people have been in the grand jury before, so if she doesn’t remember his name first, at least when she sees him would recognize him. No, two years after is still the mystery officer.

@@StarsfullaskiesDo you know what respect is? Because what I said has nothing to do with respect. If he has such a high position, he should put more effort representing it. He needs to learn how to talk in public. I think is disrespectful to look so unprepared in such an important case. I think is disrespectful the way he makes everybody else lose time. Yesterday even the judge told him to skip the long introduction he does, when he was interviewing the firefighter No. 100 that he has interviewed in this trial. He started wrong since the opening. Day 4 and he still has not explain what exactly is the theory, how did she “hit” him? The quality of his presentation is not to the level of his position. Or he doesn’t have the skill, or in a very disrespectful way he went to this trial unprepared and defending a butchered investigation that is the definition of human rights violation.

Karen had the most invested in finding John. She probably washes his clothes and certainly knew exactly what he was wearing. All she had to see was a piece of his clothing to realize it was him. So what is the big deal. It is also very possible that someone inserted the idea that he was hit before Karen even saw him.

I don't think there's a cover-up. The FBI would've easily figured out a cover-up and we'd hear about it by now. If there was a cover-up , the FBI would've stepped in by now and there wouldn't ne a trial. Since we've heard nothing from the FBI, that convinces me that Karen probably accidentally hit John with her SUV and he died as a result.
The prosecutor over-charged Karen. She should be charged with something like accidental manslaughter or accidental vehicular manslaughter. It's ridiculous the prosecutor charged her with 2nd degree murder. It was almost surely an accident. It's sad situation. A good guy died far too young and there's a possibility that Karen could be sentenced to many decades behind bars, all because she was wasted drunk and accidentally killed John. It's sad.

You can’t prove a 3rd party culprit as effectively without proving people are lying about facts of the case. People lying can show they have something to hide.

    • @markstone1619

You're imagining a TV version of the FBI and that's not at all how they actually work. The FBI is and has been conducting a big investigation of the police and political corruption in this area when this incident occurred, at which time the FBI then saw many 'red flags' in this case, but will always hold off from being involved so they can have the perpetrators actually hang themselves even more by lying in their testimony in court, as one big reason.
One of those in the house has already entered into a Fed proffer, which is an agreement to testify fully and completely truthfully on what happened in the house that caused John's death. It will be interesting when he takes the stand.
The bottom line is that no way did Karen's car ever strike John and no way that John's injuries came from that vehicle. I know that with 100% certainty. The FBI has even stated this as their conclusion about the incident. Karen is 100% Not guilty and this comes from a former LEO, now retired who has handled countless accidents, murders, and crime scenes.

In no way did that car strike him and in no way did John's injuries result from any impact from that car. Even the FBI easily came to that conclusion that the car never struck John, and John was never struck by that car.
