This is a sad sight indeed. Happy for the growth in the region but this place was a wonderful place to shop…but maybe a long time ago.

My mom and I used to do exercise walking in the mall. She's gone now, but that's how I'll remember it. It was a lovely place.

It hits a new kind of pain to see a landmark of my childhood getting reduced to rubble. It's also a real shame that such a nice looking building is likely going to be replaced by some generic shoebox. I am going to miss the Cary Towne Center.

At least the materials will mostly be recycled and something new will go in its place instead of a empty building just sitting.

Great memories going to Mr. Dunderbaks in the late 80's, sad to see this place go.

Dunderbaks was The Best. Great selection of beer, delicious food and the ladies working there were AWESOME. It was in Crabtree though, not Cary. I was on the Wall of Foam but I wonder who has the actual plaque?

I never particularly liked that mall but it is strange that it's gone now.

I used to work at Cobler's Express at the un-cool part of the mall. The other employees and myself formed a clique that would have a few drinks at Spinnakers after work. We had some lively times.

Lol, I worked at Spinnakers for a little over a year back in the '90's.
