To everyone talking crap I wrestled that match already hurt and i wrestled my next season after this with both my labrums torn and still was top 7 in class A at 106 in Nebraska so yall are funny
I agree with the others, don't allow others comments get to you, it was obvious you were wrestling through your injuries. You did you best and your face shows the pain you were wrestling through. Very commendable, as long as your doing this because you love it, don't stop!! Also take into consideration: Do the ones that comment negatively even wrestle?? MAN! You're great!! I look forward to seeing more videos of you & more wins in the future!!
That kid gave it all he had, you could see the pain suffered, he may not of came away the winner, but to me he's a winner for hanging in there till the end and being a good sportsman.
Your videos are so well framed catching all the action. That coupled with the awesome resolution makes your videos the best wrestling videos on yt. Thank you...keep up the great work!
Wrestling seems like a great sport. I wish I could have tried it at high school, but we didn't have it. But it certainly teaches you great lessons for life: sportsmanship, how to use what you have to win, and mental strategies.
Carter came prepared to wrestle his aggression from the word go led to total domination! In this match Tony seemed more into fighting with others in the crowd he was totally distracted.
I hope Carter, watch this video and see where he missed at least 3 chances to flip Tony. But, great match 👏 👌. Carter is IMO the best of the two a little too aggressive but I like him. 👍
@@dgrayoff7878 That isn't hating. When I saw his videos on here, heard him talking about his coach etc., I thought he must be a big time winner. However, he usually lost, and there's no more videos of him when older.
@ 3:50, what was it that Tony yelled to the crowed? Was that his mom encouraging him? As for Carter, @ 5:10, he had a water break. I thought they were not suppose to do that until their break time. Violation? I am curious.
Breaks only occur in the Olympic styles of wrestling such as Freestyle and Greco-Roman. This channel primarily focuses on American Folkstyle wrestling, (also known as Collegiate Style) in which there are no breaks, and to your point, no water. However, although drinking water is against the spirit of the rules, it is not explicitly addressed in the rules either, leaving the decision up to the referee. If the wrestler stays inside the circle, the safest call is probably Stalling. If the wrestler leaves the circle, a Technical Violation could be assessed, which would result in one point being awarded to the opponent.
The way these guys pull each others arms around, how long will it be before their shoulder joints are completely ruined? They shouldn't be allowed to do it.

What do {G} and {R} in the video title mean? A. They refer to the green and red ankle bands which the wrestlers wear, and the wristbands which the referee wears, that are used for scoring purposes. Q. Who won the match? A. Those details can be found in the description for each video.
The rules and objectives are quite different. In Sumo, the objective is to push the opponent out of the wrestling area (or make a part of their body other than the soles of their feet touch the ground), and as a result, matches tend to be relatively short. Folkstyle wrestling, on the other hand, is about controlling and ultimately pinning your opponent. Man, don't let people on the internet get under your skin. You are out on the mats doing it, and they are just watching and typing about it.
Keep it up 👍
@Tony Phillips it looks like you got sacked pretty good on top of it. That's definitely no fun, and can throw off a match even for the best.
So what? What people say doesn't matter. Keep doing your best. Exceed your limits.

Excellent sportsmanship from Carter at the end. Tony tries to dismiss him and he offers his hand again to help him up. That's class for real.
I don't think that was a sign of dismissing someone, I think he misunderstood the first one for a down/up here tap.
these two guys are super amazing...Wow
I really liked the respect at the end! Great job!
One of the best matches I have seen. Congratulations both boys. 😎😎
Both gave a good fight. Great sportsmanship in the end. Well done both 👍🏻👍🏻

I've watched some of the other videos of him wrestling. Lots of losses.
I saw him talking to his coach a few times, and battling through an injury that was it ~~ don't even know what you're referring to
Ребята обои Герои .. МОЛОДЦЫ
Не важно кто победит А важно это Дружба настоящия..
Ты прав бро
Superb! Wonderful footage, and I'm not even a wrestling fan!
Good sportsmanship!

The guy in grey has lots of self confidence in himself and his skills.
He loses a lot. See his other videos.

Tony was obviously in a lot of pain but he did not give in. It looked physically dangerous for him.
Tony is an awesome wrestler. Great techniques and great sportsmanship. Keep up the excellent work
West shows good wrestling instincts. But I felt sorry for Phillips.

They shouldn't be allowed to do it.
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 excellent fight
I gotta learn the rules. Things would probably make more sense but still enjoy watching.

Great match them kids from Iowa can wrestle and Tony was no slouch
How is this any different from Sumo wrestling apart from the size of the wrestler?

Weldone keep it up

The Iowa kid has a definite lump in his armpit.

Botte di santa ragione!! 😊😊
He is going far.
He couldn't done the cement mix/gator roll at the begining instead of a double leg takedown
I saw only evil in the gray opponent. He was not competing

@@MidwestWrestle Dankeschön 😊
Got taken down to the ground!!
He only has one move every time I see him wrestling is the same routine
not gonna talk crap, but yes you could tell you were in pain
I don't think Tony is built for wrestling.
Lmao ranked top 5 class A 106 in Nebraska last year
Niet goed
you can see why boys should never have to wrestle girls. Very close quarters when you wrestle
Tony was such a drama Queen the whole match
LOL You picked up on that TOO eh?
I don't think he was. He was simply out matched. That and he seemed to get caught in the bread basket.
The important thing is that you enjoyed yourself! 🤼♂
