Understanding The Child Within Us | Mahatria on Emotions

We've all had that feeling of regret after losing our temper with our elders, right? One of the truths of life is that no matter how much we talk about empathy, it is virtually impossible to fully understand what someone is going through. Therefore, sensitivity is of prime importance, as Mahatria says. As we age, we lose the capability to handle multiple stimuli. We will only know that feeling when we ourselves hit that age, so why not be a little more considerate? Mahatria elucidates on the fact that a different level of sensitivity is needed to deal with people who are elder than you. Mahatria's reason for this is very simple. Deep down, when it comes to the emotional realm, we are all children. There is actually no reason for us to feel as courageous as we do at times. It is nothing but blind courage, the kind a child would experience. Mahatria asks us to remember that there is a little one in all of us, and understanding that is the key to unlocking higher sensitivity.

My 75 year old mother-in -law is not able to empathize when I am sick. Sickness or health is no more a age factor, I guess. She is stronger and competing with me on everything who is 45 only. I cannot compete because I am in charge of multiple things, family, business etc ., and her focus seems to be only one - compete with me on everything and prove she is better than me. She is everything to everyone and it even feels like she even regrets my very presence. How can I help this drama queen? What can I do?
