He was a highly talented natural actor. His screen presence used to be so impressive. I loved his work in movies. In the month of April 2020, India lost three great actors. Ranjit Choudhary was one amongst them. The other two were Rishi Kapoor and Irrfan Khan.
May the departed souls rest in peace.
    Om Shanti.

Not many people know that Ranjit also wrote the screenplay and dialogues of the popular Doordarshan TV show ‘Malgudi Days‘.

I think I first saw him in khatta meetha. This was back in the 80s and the movie was shown on Doordarshan. I always wanted to know his name because I instantly liked his acting. He was a very natural actor. Bollywood was and is not a good place for actors like him. But he was excellent in all of his movies.
Heart felt condolences to his wife and son.

It's truly saddening to learn that he is no longer with us. Artists have a unique way of etching themselves into our lives through their work, and it's poignant when we realize they are no longer among us. This channel isn't just about artist and characters; it's a reflection of an era we all cherish and grew up with.

Bade kamaal ki baat hai.... Don't know whether it's a mere coincidence or not.
Ranjeet ji ke scenes jo jo movies mein kaate gaye the usme har baar amitabh bacchan jarur se saath mein the.
Kahi aisa toh nahi ki Ranjeet ji ke roles katwane mein the great bacchan ji ka hi haat ho??!! 🤷🤷
Reasons can be insecurity or something like this from amitabh bacchan's side. Because Ranjeet sir ji was a very versatile and impactful actor after all! With his acting he might have overshadowed bacchan in some instances.
I don't know, may be I am making a wild guess over here. But this thing is very much possible...
Bacchan has done these things in the past with some of the popular actors.
God bless Ranjeet ji wherever he is and give strength to his family. He was a terrific actor... Totally in the league of people like Amol Palekar and legendary Utpal Dutt sahab!

Thank you for sharing this. I loved his work. He was fabulous in all the older movies. I watched him in the office and didn’t even realise it’s him. He was very talented and his diversity is commendable. Played every character so realistically. That’s the mark of a great actor. RIP Ranjit Chaudhary.

A very touching video on Ranjit Chaudhary, he was a very known face in many households in India due to his lovely acting in movies like Khatta Meetha, Baato Baato Mein & Khoobsurat. It was a real joy to learn that he was the son of Pearl, both the mother - son duo were versatile theatre actors. Alyque Padamsee being his step father, his creativity must have definitely been inspired.
He must have been felt hurt when his role was considerately cut to size when Kalia was actually released.
His migration to Canada & his love for theatre brought him back into the limelight & he found some good work in Indo Canada joint ventures. He got to work with hollywood actors too. Interestimg that he got a chance to work with Mr Amitabh once again in Kaante, life came a full circle.
Felt really low at the end that he was stuck up in India during the lockdown & breathed hus last in 2020, he could not go back to see his family😢
A very very tragic end to the life of Ranjit Chaudhary.
Thanks for making this video ❤

Tabassum ji has been the Best Actress .
She acted excellent since her childhood . My late mother loved her

You reminded us of Tabassumji's free flowing monologues and interviews. And you conducted this almost the same way sans those intermitant funny moments she would sprinkle in the show

Good one,you narrated so well,Hoshangji......even I couldn't believe ,Ranjit passed away ,truly,he was a natural actor ,got all qualities from his parents.......Hoshangji, sad to hear about this natural actor ,so real and passing away ......that's life.......Good people always go away and bad ones stay behind

I have seen Khatta Meetha and other films mentioned long time back and very nice movies, with family values, But the cast of the movies was so big that it was difficult to remember the names. I remember a song picturised on him Kabhi khushi kabhi gam, tara rum pum pum.. Om Shanti
