Aloe Vera can grow even if you cut and plant it right away without having to go through the process in the video, but cutting and planting Aloe Vera without roots hampers the growth of the plant for a couple of months. If you go through the process shown in the video, the growth of the plant will not be disturbed.
Ahm... Ma'am/Sir, im curious about your Pot or I don't think that is Plastic Pot. What is the name of the Plastic Pot you use? Please @The Aloe Vera Garden help me, that is available in any Pot Store?
The áloe vera garden, este es el mejor canal que he visto hasta ahora. Amo los áloe vera igual que tú, ¡eso creo! me fascina mucho. Solo lamento no haber dado antes con el ¡ah..por cierto! también el hecho de que no sea en español😅
This was really helpful thanks for sharing. if it's ok to ask what are the kind of pots you use called? I have only seen stiff plastic ones in the UK? thankyou
How far up should you put the soil at the base of the aloe vera when it goes into the new pot? How much of the bottom of the aloe vera plant should be covered? I would assume you would only put the soil in to the bottom of the leaves but was not sure. And thank you for this video it was extremely helpful especially your check for the bigger ones.
I have planed a small aloe vera sapling in my house but it's not growing..it's steady.. also the leves r not big... I thing their is some problem with the soil. ...... How do u prepare your soil need help?
Do aloe vera plants have a deep root or shallow root system? Is a deeper pot better than a shallower pot? Any and all advice is welcome! Thanks in advance!!
When u use this technique to get roots higher up on the plant & eventually remove lower roots….do u water it during the 1 month transition or no?….thx!
I live in a very hot climate, so watering the plant is not really an issue. If you live in a very cold country, and the soil you're using is damp, you don't have to water it.
You can grow aloe vera plant in a simple soil , but for better growth of your plant ,you can search for "soil for aloe vera plant " . You will get the video that he has uploaded . 😇
I tried this method, but instead of using another plastic pot filled with soil to put around the stem, I used a plastic bag filled with soil, plastic wrap to prevent the soil from losing its moisture, and then aluminum wrap to block sunlight. When I removed the wrap after a couple of months, the stem had rotted instead of rooted. Do you know why? I've now cut of the rotted part of the stem and planted (as well as I could) the cutting directly into soil.
You can't stop it from becoming tall, but you can make it slower. Placing them under the sun will make it slower. If you place Aloe Vera indoor, they grow tall fast like a vine.
His pots are practical, not decorative. If I had that many aloes, I wouldn’t bother with nicer pots either. For the amount of work he does with them, decorative pots are too heavy for all of that. Nice pots are for aloes that aren’t harvested regularly.

So I can just plant my fresh root cutting straight away or I let it callus
pp
@@arandomcanadian2948 let it callus I guess? So there's no chances to root rot.
@@rafiasajuti1229 I tried it without callusing but I put it on water just to make an expirement called Aloe Vera Gel Storage limit

The pots i used are soft plastic nursery pots, i think they are made of the same materials of nursery bags.
After you cut the upper pot from the lower one, will the stalk on the lower pot continue to grow or does it die off?

Yes, you are right, up to the bottom of the last leaf.
Thank you! This was really helpful 🙂
Glad it was helpful!
Good luck 👍
Thanks 👍

Very good..I like this idea
Many many thanks

Aloe vera has a shallow root system, although a few roots go deeper, but most of the roots are at the surface level.

Please, What size are the pots. Love your video. Thank you very helpful. I think you can get these on Amazon
Hi again
After I repotted it with this method should I water it or no?
Thank you😁
Yes, you can water it.
Thank you for your help😁
You're welcome.
What can we do with old soil
You can put the old soil in the compost and use it again when the compost is ready.
What is the best type if soil to use when repotting?
You can grow aloe vera plant in a simple soil , but for better growth of your plant ,you can search for "soil for aloe vera plant " .

Can I use a self watering planter?
Yes, but Aloe vera doesn't need that much water.
Can I use spray bottle instead of watering can on the self watering planter?
@@fancynancy2134 yes spraying also works because it gives less water and it will reduce the chance of root rot
I have similar size aloe vera which was first shown being repotted, can it become a giant aloe vera leaf plant?
Absolutely!
@@rafiasajuti1229 ok thanks :)

Can i cut down a leggy aloe vera?
It depends on your choice I would cut down my aloe if it's leggy so it's recommended to cut it
👌👌👍
👋, how to get lot of aloe puffs please share
Do you mean the tiny aloe sprouts popping up? They do that naturally when they're healthy and happy.
Hello I have a question
After you repot it will it grow new roots on the upper part of stem?
Thanks
Yes, I already have an update on this video. Here it is:
th-cam.com/video/l8gGB3_wSh0/w-d-xo.html
Thank you
And can I do this in november or should I wait for spring?
You can do this anytime because you're not hurting the plant. The plant will continue to grow when you layer it.

Nice
How can you tell the toxic aloe vera plant from the safe one?
Both aloe vera (chinensis and barbadensis) are safe. Just make sure that your plant is aloe vera.
💞
My plant has become so top heavy that its pot keeps toppling over. This will help a lot.
Im trying to do the opposite to this video (to try to grow my aloe vera as tall as possible)
For what surpose?
Are times really that tough for you where can’t afford a decent pot?
That's the best pot for aloe vera. The roots are not disturbed when you repot them to a bigger container.
