Thanks for the reaction and comments. These ladies are FIRE!!!!! Arguably the best live rock band on the planet, it's criminal they don't have greater worldwide recognition and following.
Brilliant reaction 🎉 Thank you for highlighting Kanami’s guitar work inside the song. She does that sort of thing all the time. No “three chord Charlies” in the Band Maid repertoire. Kanami plays piano, which I’m betting informs how she writes guitar parts. Sometimes, to me, it sounds as if she gives Miku 🌹 the left hand 🎹 parts and she’ll play 🎹 the right hand parts. Most normal bands have 3-5 really solid hits and the rest are their experiments that didn’t quite catch fire. Band Maid is the exact opposite. Nearly every song they write are legitimate bangers with maybe 3-5 experiments that didn’t measure up to the rest. For your next song, I would love to recommend what some call Kanami’s “masterpiece:” Blooming. The official music video is best. Have a blooming great day 👍🏽
Band-Maid's "Domination" was the very first music video of theirs that I watched. I was then hooked. Three years later I can watch "Domination" with total joy. Thanks for your reaction. By the way, Band-Maid is one of the best live bands you will ever watch. I have gone to two of their live concerts and walked away feeling it was money and time very well spent. They are just an amazing group of five immensely talented, humble, and kind young women who engage with their audience fully.
Another great reaction Master CS. You're not the first, and you certainly will not be last, to compare Kanami with the guitar greats. Other bass and drum reactors do the same with MISA and Akane. Shows the depth of quality the band possess. And the unsung hero, Miku, on rhythm guitar, has come a long way from not being able to play when the band first started, to allowing Kanami freedom to share her greatness with us all. Keep on rocking with the Maids. @MusicMike747 mentioned "Blooming" OMV and it's a fantastic choice. It's in my top two. The other "Daydreaming" OMV, as a rock ballad, will show you a glimpse of the diversity their portfolio has. PO! 🕊 🤘😆🤘
Brother this band is the absolute real deal and I can't wait to win lotto so I can spend it all to bring them down under. It's a balmy night in North Queensland but the beer is cold and the Maids are hot - heaven, cheers 👍🍻🍻
Great mix on your audio and levels....BRAVO!! With regards to your comments about Kanami's guitar technique, you'll LOVE "Puzzle" Official LIVE and the riff in that one.
@@sugaanessena3143 Absolutely. Plus i want to see B-M get their degree to see Saiki, Miku & Kanami toss their Maid bonnets into the air, as graduates seem to like doing.🤔
Great reaction, especially noting the octave bit that Kanami does (among other details). I don't know that Kanami is quite the technician that Vai or Satriani are, but she's a far more consistent composer than those guys are. Vai doesn't have to worry much about what the rest of the band is doing in most songs (a few pieces like Freakshow Excess aside), he just worries about his part and the baseline will take care of itself. Kanami writes her parts into what the band does as a whole, and that's what makes them so great. She trained her own rhythm guitarist (Miku, who took to it like a fish finding water for the first time in it's life) to play parts just like she wants them so she's free to do other things, making complexities that no one guitarist could possibly do. Jimmy Page hisownself had to overlay parts with himself to create songs like Stairway to Heaven. Kanami has Miku. So, great compositions, and then she plays them with real passion. When she is in Mincho mode, it's like watching Gary Moore playing at times, that far lost into the music. I'll take composition plus passion over perfect sweep picking and extremely long arpeggios every time (take that Lovebites! 😉)
Thanks Mike for the great comments.yeah what struck me was the total sound.drop a,b is new to me so I can’t place everything I’m hearing I just have to enjoy, bit like before I new the guitar.
When Kanami first played guitar, she was influenced by Larry Carlton, but later on she adopted Santana's style. She said that she wanted to meet Santana the most, so why she always use PRS for all time

BAND-MAID have performed in Jakarta and HongKong, but never been to Australia or NewZealand, so you may have to travel somewhere to see them live😉
But Haro for World Domination they need to Conquer the Southern Hemisphere as well lol

Welcome to Maid`s world!
I hope you will definitely look 10 years younger!
If Doctorates were awarded to Maids for awesomeness then BAND-MAID would already have their Nth degree :)
Nothing like starting the day with some Band-Maid.
