It's sad to see what Amanda became. But I'm glad she at least decided, at the end of "Underworld", to stop this search for revenge. In my "Tomb Raider" timeline, I like to believe she secretly goes to Lara's funeral in "Chronicles".
So this video is just cutscenes from Legend and Underworld? But there's more. I was hoping for unearthing her secret connection with Natla. It's told by Lara actually outside of their interactions in Underworld, that Amanda at some point dug out Natla, who being a millionaire (or whatever was her disguise in the first game as "Jacqueline Natla"), sponsored Amanda's projects. There are crates with Natla's logo in TR Legend. So Amanda's and Natla's connection goes beyond TR Underworld. They knew each other from some time between the events of Paraiso (Amanda's supposed death) and TR Legend's present time. Natla was pressumably the one telling Amanda about Avalon, since it was Natla's goal all along. I mean yes, it's in the cutscene from Underworld, but you know, chronologically this would go before Amanda's "resurrection". First Natla told Amanda, then Legend happened with Lara letting Amanda live, then Underworld, where Lara came to realisation, that they were working together, Amanda and her pet, the Atlantean god.
People said Amenda is the most annoying bitch (or character) in Tomb Raider history. But as I got older, I realize how her motives where somewhat understandable since she is left behind and felt betrayed by her best friend. Sometimes I wonder if whether or not Amenda is an empathetic character despite being an antagonist.
She is a complex character - not pure evil considering that her goals in Legend aren't involving world domination or anything - she just wants to see what happens! Lara is the one who kills her lover so they are not so different! :O
@@a.jthomas6132 sorry but her anger was NOT justified whatsoever lol. The REAL reason why she was angry was because of the wraith stone. The entity was now a part of her. The entity basically snubbed any good she had in her and filled it with hate. That’s why Amanda never saw listen to reason. If she was never influenced by the stone, she would have controlled her emotions and never did what she did. She would have helped Lara. But the stone corrupted her mind. Also her change of appearance to full on black attire and getting full body tattoos was heavily influenced by the wraith stone.
Betrayed by her best friend and left behind? I don’t think so. Lara tried like hell to not leave Amanda behind. She managed to hold that giant metal gate open as long as she could even while being completely submerged under water. Amanda got stuck and all the rocks and rubble fell on top of her and the gate closed. There was literally *nothing* Lara could do. It’s a pretty fair conclusion Lara made that Amanda didn’t survive. Even if she came back with help, and even if the rubble didn’t kill her, she could’ve drowned. How could Lara know that weird stone saved her? It’d be entirely different if Lara just took off and let the gate close while the place was flooding but she didn’t.
@@alib3208 Amanda said she wasn't bitter because Lara had been unable to save her, but because they hadn't even tried to dig in search for survivors. They were archeologists and digging is what they could do best; so she expected that at least they would've tried to rescue someone or retrieve their bodies to give them proper burial. Instead, what she found after escaping half-dead, was that Lara, Anaya and whoever was also outside, had left as if they didn't even care.
Amanda turned to the dark side I can’t believe she would not forgive lara Instead chose to be enemies she let her emotions destroy her Amanda should be lara’s friend again
I always felt like Amanda is not evil at all, she has a grudge on Lara but she doesn't go out of her way to get revenge on her only until Lara actually shits on her business and start killing her men and kills her boyfriend She had multiple chances to kill Lara through the story but she doesnt and actually ends up helping Lara
I know the "Alternate Ending" is just that, an alternative and not necessarily Canon but Amanda tries to hurt Lara but she shoots her and then Amanda tries standing up and she breaks her leg and Lara leaves her there.
I know right? I felt so incredibly bad for this guy. He knew he was going to die, and his last thoughts were of his mother. Probably someone that always believed in him.
The blue liquid inside Avalon is poisonous, and anyone in close proximity to it dies slowly over time, turning into one of the zombie thralls that guard Avalon itself. Amelia was alive when she arrived in Avalon, but she was there for too long and ultimately died from the venom of the midgard serpent (the blue stuff), and became a thrall. Lara then found her and had to kill her
Winged girl knew how to perform the ritual that, along with Thor's Hammer, was necessary to reach Avalon. Although she later backstabbed Lara, each of them making their part to open the way was their original arrangement
Amanda was a very well written antagonist, and her relationship with Lara was also interesting.

That sounded like Kath Soucie's actual voice.
