I think Godzilla is one of those franchises were I can enjoy the spectacle upon a first viewing, and later on in life find value under the surface using newly-learned analytic tools for literature.
Indeed, there isn’t many franchises outside of big names that can be enjoyed on both surface and a deeper level. Makes the ones that are a bit more special.
Godzilla is my childhood, I can say without any regret Godzilla is the greatest monster movie franchise in the history of monster movies second is King Kong.
