He never really got into the anime, as he explained in a very recent video, the waifu one.

@@robertfalk3767 i guess im the same as this guy then, i never keep up with the anime, maybe just watch a few episodes. But i have played almost every single game in the franchise on many different platform too, gameboy, psp, nintendo ds etc. never got interested on the anime whatsoever
Always concerns me how top players dont like the anime. I mean, i start playing BCUZ OF the anime, i cant imagine myself playing ygo without the anime (is too complex to newcomers), did they al watch the first serie (duel monster) and never feel curiosity for the other? 5ds is awesome..

Most favorite kuriboh. :)
@@aizenvermillion434 ITS A WRETCHED GHOST GODDAMIT!
Kuribonkers! Dishonerable is right. Ngl I literally forgot this card existed. The problem with Wretched Ghost is it has no effect and its stats are almost as laughable as its inspiration's. Even as a Dark Fiend-type Monster there's not enough support to play a vanilla with 550 ATK and 400 DEF. Even its level's worse lol. Maybe someone more creative than I am could come up with some combos for it. Hard to believe this came in the same Tournament Pack as cards like Thestalos and Harpie's Feather Duster.
@@BretGammons Well I use bunilla, But even then it has 2050 DEF while being Level 1, So it is still useful
In the first episode of yugioh gx when Jaiden was dueling Dr Crawler, Dr Crawler attacked winged kuriboh in defense position with his Ancient golem Jaiden didn't take piercing damage.
Thanks to the effect of Plot Armor
Kuribohs effect
@@theinvincibleorange5648 Winged Kuribohs effect only activates when it gets destroyed. Piercing damage comes before destruction. Also why nobody summons it in attack mode, because they'd take damage before it gets destroyed.
@@-emerald-1553 cards tend to have different effects in the anime. Usually because the card exist in the anime before coming out in the actual card game. Almost always broken effects as well. Like card of sanctity which effect in the anime is both players draw until they have six cards in their hands. Now if the card could only be activated during the end phase and only when you had more cards in your hand than your opponent and you couldn't activate any other card effects afterwards then ithe effect might not be broken.
@@theinvincibleorange5648 it has to go to the GY, then the effects resolves and you no longer take damage, if you attack a attack position winged kuriboh you still deal damage to your opponent

I honestly just want kuriboh to become a legit archetype with a type of win condition. I wanna build a kuriboh deck that actually works, can win a game without just stalling out, and isn't just link spam into borrel monsters with multiply.
Edit: Not nessicarily anything meta, just something that I can play and do what I want to do with the deck so it works
Yes. This idea has come to me before, but I have no where near enough kuriboh cards to even try making a deck.
@@cindymoser9 i made a deck back in MR3 called "Divine fang of masked chaos kuriboh" that i made when kuriborhn was first released. It basically used kuribohs as the main engine for rank 1, with BLS and Devine Serpent Geh with help from fang of critias and mask change 2 for unexpected fusions. It was a fun deck, but then MR4 happened and basically killed the deck. MR5 lets it work again, but now its a bit slow (it hated "you cant play yugioh" boards in MR3, and now that every deck ends on at least appolusa and borreload savage that can negatelike 6 things a turn it literally cant do anything against that) and not enough extra deck space to do as mich as i would want to now
Like a dark sanctuary spell card but for kuriboh where if 20 kuribohs or kuriboh tokens are destroyed or banished you win the duel.
you could try with the Lvl Kuribohs. Just for fun. I do that stuff all the time. Meta decks are crazy boring. So just make some fun decks if you have friends who are on board to do the same.

I always liked the the Kuriboh monsters and Konami has made so many version of the card but I don't understand why they didn't release the remaining 4 Kuriboh bothers and Kuribabylon

So in short, Kuriboh is good in Do-da-lalala Links.
Your top 10s are always appreciated. Love em. Thanks.
Also, on Relinkuriboh, it's design is a combination of Kuriboh and Relinquished, given how Kuriboh's claws are replaced with the claws of Relinquished and the Eye of Anubis is on its backside, not to mention its Japanese name, "サクリボー" (Sakuriboh) incorporates Sacrifice, the Japanese name for Relinquished.
I love when 1 monster gets more versions of it self. Great video man.
kuriboh=eevee. the card had sooooo many evolutions
Fun fact, Winged Kuriboh was used in a tier 1 duel links deck “Koa’ki Meiru”. 😂
Those were dark, DARK times
Lol i remember i considered koaki meriu a somehow good card for a 4fun deck.. In 2012 kek
Love the video, but you do realize that Relinkuriboh is a pun on Relinquished and is not "Relink Kuriboh" right?
Fun fact: In Japan, it's named "Sakuriboh", a pun on "Sacrifice." And for some reason, the original Relinquished was also named "Sacrifice" in Japan. Kind of weird how they decided to maintain that weird bit of translation - even weirder that the pun still works.
It is Written Relinkuriboh on card and it has some relinquished art on it and the name indeed is a pun ankuriboh is also a pun to ankh and kuriboh

Synchro: basically ritual monsters but they are placed in the extra deck and instead of a specific spell card and the card in your hand you only need the type of tuner monster listed on the card and another monster so that they match up to the level of the synchro monster then you can special summon it.
XYZ: Really simple just look at what the monster needs at the top and if those monsters are on the field you can special summon it from the extra deck (basically fusion minus a need for poly and they need to be on the field), after the monster has been summoned put the cards used to make it under the card these are XYZ material and they are used to activate their abilities/effects when you use one send one of the materials to the graveyard and unless you activate a type of spell or trap card that XYZ monster can't regain them.
Pendulums: ............I don't know, there just weird but they aren't really "that" necessary.
Link: To be fare I don't know that much about link summoning but I'll try to describe it the best I can, they're kinda like XYZ but you don't place the materials underneath the card instead you send them to the graveyard however one thing I'm not sure about is the "link" at the bottom next to attack and BTW link monsters can't be in defence only attack, anyway back to the "link" now this is the amount of points the card has around it's art work where ever they point to you can special summon an extra deck monster in that space this also works for the opponent BTW so if it points to their board then they can summon an extra deck monster there not sure if the card the extra deck monster is pointed to is destroyed and if it destroys the monsters it points to as well. Anyway the "link" it says this is the amount of monsters needed and the example used in the manual really confuses me so for example if the "link" is 3 and it needs 2 effect monsters does that mean I need a minimum of 2 effect monster and another monster or what.
So that's the "new" special summoning monsters (aside from pendulums) may be a bit overwhelming but trust me ya get used to it.
Edit: sry if some of the gramma isn't perfect BTW, especially near the end
Don't play the game its a trap you might get addicted to.
And thats never a good thing.
Play duel links
Personally, I think astral Kuriboh and magikuriboh are the best. Since magikuriboh allows to special summon dark magician. and you can add it back to hand when a spell aster gets destroyed.
And astral Kuriboh can be chain with star twilight to summon the Kuriboh family, which can be used to summon Saryuja and other link monsters.
Performapal Kuriborder works on attacks against monsters, too, and not just against direct attacks.
No, it only works on direct attacks, the card he showed in the video wasn’t the real card for some reason.
The original Kuriboh was the best counter against Injection Fairy Lily. You could discard it after the enemy payed 2000 lifepoint.
I actually made a kuriboh deck on dueling nexus and ended up dueling a galaxy-eyes deck. I end ed up nicking a photon dragon from their gy with ankuriboh and used it's effect to banish itself, thus keeping it on my field.
That quick, smooth, elegant, and, most importantly, quick skill share ad was the best. Liking and sharing.
Kuriboh really is one of the most useful archtypes around. Original kuriboh have those tokens and its life point saving effect, winged kuriboh has that no damage effect and lv 9 and 10, linkuriboh is one of the best life savers in the entire game, junkuriboh can even save you from things like yubel and trickstars, rainbow kuriboh has a great attack negating effect.
Hi I got hit with a golf club in head and knowing you uploaded really help with the pain thanks for being such a great person and giving us something to watch when we are bored. Thank you
Kuriboh is actually really good in Goat format for being cannon fodder for BLS and Chaos Sorcerer
Man, the Kuriboh architypes are pretty cool and cute monsters. They may not be the strongest but they do have reliable effects.
I wonder if there's gonna be a possible Synchro, Xyz, or Fusion variant of Kuriboh someday.
P.kuribhoble is generally released as a support for the performapal archetype since they really required too much timing and luck
And also released to give trollers some joy
Man, I have been out of this game for too long. Are you serious that there are *more* than 10 Kuriboh monsters?
Not only that. There is a Kuriboh archetype *and* monsters that have Kuriboh in their name without belonging to this archetype.
I thought the top 3 would be
Ankuriboh
Kuribohrn
And
1: linkuriboh or kuribandit
Read More is my favourite Kuriboh.
I really thought Kuribandit would have been on the list since it did see combative play in the tcg
maybe kuribandit doesn't count?
@@GodzillaFreak If Ankuribon and Kuribohrn count, why wouldn't Kuribandit?
@@truechoas6224 If you look closely they all have the word "kuriboh" somewhere

I spent a solid 3 minutes just looking for the different kuriboh monsters in the thumbnail
8:00 they definitely should have called it kurainboh lol
Saying "not half bad" is such a weird compliment
Your face is not half bad
I made a pure kuriboh deck meant for single duel tournaments in the ocg. It's actually pretty good. I have a video of the deck on my profile, but I have changed some cards and added some of the newer kuriboh cards. Thinking about updating the list on TH-cam.
5:45 ALSO it's searchable with Performapal cards
These cards are so freaking adorable!
Winged kuriboh lv10? A card that can pretty much otk the opponent or at very least cause massive damage and clear their field
Also, the summoning condition is pretty easy to pull off and allows you to set up your graveyard. Sounds pretty good to me.
Lv 10 is complete garbage. Way too hard to summon for what it does. Just play mirror force at this point.
@@liebekenntkeineligafurimme6668 "Way too hard to summon for what it does."
What it does is potentially OTK the opponent. What it does is cripple the opponent while allowing you to set-up your graveyard. What it does is potentially win you the game.
Also, too hard to summon? It's a two-card combo that you can splash into any deck to give it a win condition.
You really don't see the risk of this? The kuriboh lv 10 cripples your hand everytime if you draw him. The spell cripples your hand almost everytime if you don't have this hyperspecific situation with the winged on board. The winged itself crisppels your hand everytime you don't have this spell that you can't even search out. And graveyard setup? You want to do this from your deck, not your hand. You don't want to discard most of the time, and you almost never want to discard 2. Even if you get him out, if you don't kill your opponent with this play you are dead, because you put so much ressouces in making this thing. And if it gets negated with let's say a solemn strike you are even more dead! Just because it could potentially kill the opponent doesn't make it good. Sparks also can kill the opponent.
@@liebekenntkeineligafurimme6668 If your hand is useless when you have one card that is dead until a second card is drawn, then you're playing with a very shitty deck.
Also, again, so many resources? We're talking about two cards.
Also, Danger! cards are a thing and a number of cards have excellent effects that can be used when they are in the graveyard, like some Kuriboh monsters.
I don't know why you hate this card so much, maybe it killed your parents and you want revenge on it. I really don't see why you seem to think that it's exceptionally difficult to summon, why you think the effect is useless and why you are unwilling to admit that it is a decent card.
Has the meta-game really gotten to the point where a two-card OTK isn't considered valid unless it becomes a 3-card OTK by adding a searcher card? Is a decent splashable win-condition just an obsolete thing now because archetypes have completely taken over, and any card combo not part of a specific engine is just not worth looking at?
I remember Exodia decks in the early 10s using the original Kuriboh in order to stall lol.
I've been using sphere kuriboh for like three months in DL and didn't even realize it had a ritual effect lol
I unironically run a kuriboh deck.
I don’t have friends thanks to this
*runs Sabatiel.dek*
You should make a deck that gives your opponent Red Dragon Archfiend and prevents them from declaring attacks with any monster
Top ten “once per duel” cards
Linkuriboh now is banned.
I just learned that if a card says to tribute monsters to special summon, duel links lets you use tokens that can't be used for tribute summons.
Only in Yugioh you can say “Lemme play with my hairy balls” and not seem weird
You probably still will seem weird
You know what the best part of your top tens is?
The fact that you made it.
I remember when people played Kuriboh decks in Duel Links where they just have all Kuribohs except Junk lol
Winged Kuriboh was actually relevant to the plot in the GX manga! In the anime, like you said, Winged Kuriboh just kinda... followed Jaden around sorta...
Wow, Ankuriboh, huh? Imagine if this was 1999 still where the localization though that an ankh was some sort of... religious...? Occult...? Censor-worthy symbol.
Aaaand of course the top spot is some Link monster shenanigans crap...
There has never been a Kuriboh deck.
Me: getting demolished by a Kuriboh deck and making one myself...
I love all these top 10 videos. I've been watching each one over and over despite seeing them. Keep up the great work. If you're still open to suggestions a top 10 Ancient Gear, Red-Eyes, or Dragon would be awesome! Take a easy!
I don't really like Kuriboh's more cutesy redesign, the original weird monster furball that is accidentally cute always felt more charming to me.
Thanks for including duel links references, ive gotten into Yugioh through duel links and enjoy the inclusion.
Awesome I also have some of the kuriboh cards on this list
I wonder how long it will be til they limit Kiteroid in Duel Links?
It's a double kuriboh - effectively like a +1 for every deck currently running stall cards like this..
Personally, I have one in my DeskBot deck for emergencies. My traps/spells are dedicated to revival from GY, so it's a nice piece of compatible protection that also helps some of the DeskBot effects if you absolutely need to put it on field for some reason
What about Winged Kuriboh Lvl 10? It has a slightly difficult summoning condition, but being able to destroy all your opponents monsters adding their ATK for massing burn damage is a pretty cool effect. Plus it was a Spell speed 2 effect
Kuriboh is the pikachu of Yugioh at this point, with the number of Kuriboh varients there are now a days
Kuriboh has Purple Pac-Mans for eyes. Now you can never unsee
I already noticed that years ago
It keeps me awake at nights
My friend would love this video and he did really well at a wcs last year using a kuriboh deck
I want a Kuriboh boss monster with a with BUWD statline. The art is a dutch angle of a Kuriboh with martial arts headband over looking a cliff. I'd call call it Kuri-Boh.
There was actually a neat Kuriboh Link spam deck someone used that did pretty well.

Anyone noticed Kuriboh got eyes looking like PacMan? You can't unsee that now
Honestly thought Kuribandit was going to be number 1. No idea how I forgot about Linkuriboh
Kuribo was the first hand trap... :) and used frequently in early days
Thing about Kuriboh and all these other fluffy balls is you can splash any of these guys into literally any deck and have nothing but a positive effects. Some stronger than others but still.

I swear this guy mispronounces names of cards on purpose. I'd be blown away if a top 10 came out where you didn't say a card's name in a way I had never heard it before.
Kuriboh isn’t a God tier monster. But it’s so cute and always helped Jaden when he needed it so Kuriboh gets 5 hair ball tokens in the monster zone from me.
In duel links kuribohs in gand can help u chose how much damage u wanna take assuming enemy has multiple monsters in field. Helps trigger abilities that require damage. Mostly used in otk decks to get last combo pieces
Yeah, Jaden would always go with that "Get Your Game On!" catchphrase, and he did use elemental heroes and then the Neo Spacian monsters. How he came up with them in the later episodes really didn't make sense at all. Plus, whoever heard of blasting a card into space anyway? Even though that didn't involve Winged Kuriboh though.
Honestly, blasting a card into space is something Kaiba would do. And he actually did that with Neos.
Mateo Bonavento the one thing I remember is when Jaden made a card drawing of Yubel and it was sent up into space, and then Yubel got pissed because she thought that Jaden abandoned her. The whole plot got really weird and ridiculous in my opinion, but I guess that's anime logic for you.
I want the real kuriboh that can explode relinquished
remember that there's also winged kuriboh lv9, the oddest boss monster in history
i know 0 things about yu gi oh. I played it for like a week when it first released. I watch these videos bc your voice is rly soothing but now that i know kuriboh is an archetype i might fuck around and make a deck
There was a time when I created a kuriboh deck that was able to beat meta decks, it was before xyz even released
You make me want to get back into yugioh, but then I remember the very unstable meta game, unstable card prices and cool ocg cards not being released in the tcg. I wish Konami didn't suck.

performapal sounds very cool actually.
if ur enemy summons a heavy hitter that only lasts 1 turn or totally trows you offguard.

Anime Wing Kuriboh if destroyed by card effect also prevents battle dmg for some reason.
Ruling difference in the anime monsters being destroyed and activating their effects happens first before taking dmg. Hence Episode 1 Jaden doesnt lose to Crowlers Acient Gear Golems peircing dmg effect
I was thinking about this
Looking back, that shouldn't make no damn sense.
Nice vid DuelLogs! Is Kuriphoton worth mentioning?
