What bugs me with black maria is there's a lot of avenues to make it more fair, it could be animal kingdom locked, not have a 2k counter so you're forced to run bricks, or make the user rest the card for its effect but in it's current state it's a perfect card.
About s-snake: yes, that is exactly the same as Kizaru's laser beams, in fact it's an artificial replica of his light powers (S-snake and all the other seraphims are manmade cyborgy clones)
What I dislike the most about green in op08 is that for the first time they released a nekomamushi and an Inuarashi that are NOT wano type. If they were wano, you could do a mixed build mink-wano, and green wano would have gotten a slight buff. But they scrapped that type:/
I’m already settled for OP07, but I think for 08 I am going to switch to Carrot and kalgara, I think that there’s sooo much potential! Thanks for these videos, your explanation of the new cards is great!
so for the dogstorm i think it is a good tech because leader ability needs a mink on board to activate effect and its sticky so leader effect will be live, considering how rampant removal is nowadays. early to mid game you are most likely just playing everything on curve so attaching don to lose the effect shouldn't be an issue. late game when you attach don to swing higher is where u lose value but by then you should have a few minks out already
Ya definitely, it gets to a certain point where you have to shift priorities to the board once you run out of lock down (if you can't finish them of course).
Maybe adding ST12 Mihawk into the deck since a lot of 4 or lower cost in the deck have chop and maybe add OP04-119 + OP07 Bonnie to protect lots of 5 cost in the deck ?
Awesome video! Carrots been fun to play on the sim and your decklist is almost identical to mine besides hody and conslot im glad to see I was on a decent enough path lol ggs!
i think BlackMaria should be allowed for Animal Kingdom Leaders only.! OPTCG just has to anounce that a a rule to the game, till an errata is made, no?. Also i would ban Gordon. That way Law has to replace him with something like Firefist. Still a great way for powerdown, but it would be a 2Don play instead of a 1Don play. His removal would still be good, but it got toned down a bit. Also with the lack of BM the DON recovery takes a fair hit. That way i think Law would still be super good, but not the tier0 leader he is now in the east. We already lost Saka, i dont wanna lose another leader, when you can fix him with some workarounds.!
Totally agreed, RP Law shouldn't be banned, but cards like Black Maria need to start being leader locked.. imagine how much more balanced the game would be if Black Maria was locked to Animal Kingdom and Black Gecko Moria was locked to Thriller Bark..
@Vvulfrik Yeah some of their decisions make no sense, like they somehow thought OP04 Kyros was somehow too strong and leader locked him into Rebecca so he can't even be used in his own deck in the future
the dog storm really makes no sense to play lol. you are right about the attached don thing. i think they are just running it for counter? but I rather just play a different card at this point
I don't think rp law needs to be banned i think they need to make more effective counter play to removal as a whole (not just bottom decking but ko too) cause right now there isnt really a way to stop removal other than play bigger cards
I think removal just needs counter play even if it was just one color that gets it just so there are some checks and balances to the game, there aren't good ways to protect your cards which is why even if they ban rp law lucci would probably just take his place as the next big bad
@@Vvulfrik While thinking about mechanics from other games that could eventually be brought into OP, I thought about an Exile or "removed from game" zone, and I realized that's essentially what bottom-decking is. There's maybe two or three cards currently that cause a player to shuffle their deck, so 99% of the time if something gets bottom-decked, it's GONE gone.

That S snake looks badass. Another case in wich the regular art is way better than the alt art.

Great video! Im finding with Carrot, once you can no longer freeze, you are nearly always getting killed with the clap back

Agreed, not sure how a card from OP01 like Denjiro is Leader Locked, while a card like Black Maria is not...

Initially one of my biggest concerns for this game was Bottom-Decking as a form of removal. I always felt it was too strong.

21:25 that event card only gives +3k if you have 2 or less life
Unfortunately, Carrot is too "fair". She needs Zoro to beat a lot of harder Match Ups.
