I walk you through my method for cleansing gear, and talk you through how I make decisions about each and every gear set as I go. Discord Link: / discord
Just a question: early on the video you sell some 6* epic crit rate defence gloves that could go on Peydma but ended up with a double roll on resist (they also had speed and a single roll on acc). Your rationale was that no one in your roster would use a defence set piece with such stats, but what about using it as an off-piece. How do you evaluate gear keeping in mind that they can be used as off-pieces?
@ElGnomistico GREAT question! I debated about that piece a little bit. There are a few reasons I didn't explain in the video. 1 - I have a TON of really high level Resilience gear, so if I need a piece with rolls like that, I can probably find it in Resilience. 2 - I generally don't use off-pieces unless they are amazing. I know the phrase "stats over sets" gets pushed pretty hard, but I think it's an oversimplification. I intend to do a video breaking down this concept at some point. 3 - Sometimes you just have to make some hard calls about "on the bubble" pieces of gear. If I had 2-300 inventory spots free, I probably would have kept the piece, but I don't, so I made the call to let it go. I hope that answers your question! Thanks for the comment!
@@ColredPlaysRSLgreat vid btw, I just wanna add another ps: I don't fully agree with your view on stalwart. While it's certainly great in a defensive build, basically making a behemoth of a tank, it's also fantastic for very squishy clan boss/hydra damage dealers such as Fayne or Anax, with fairly low base HP and defense. I wouldn't be surprised if a stalwart set on those champs would be more effective than 6* def% chest + gloves.
@ElGnomistico That's an interesting idea. I would say that you're right - it's certainly possible in some scenarios that stalwart on a damage dealer would work out in your favor, but I would suggest that's most likely in the mid game when your roster is still lacking key roles. Optimally, you want to build your damage dealers solely for damage and keep them alive through the abilities of your supports, not through defensive stats or sets. Maybe not in every single case (like Coldheart for example), but that should definitely be your general goal at end game.
Another awesome video! I can't wait to watch this because sometimes I ask myself whether I should keep a certain gear or not and it just ends up in my storage. But yeah thank you for helping everyone be a lot less confused with each videos you make. Honestly don't know why you don't have at least like 10K+ subs. You're very underrated :). I do have a suggestion though. I don't know if you can do this or not, but maybe you can add chapters to your videos when you go over different parts, that way us viewers can just click on the section we want to learn about or confused about instead of skimming through the video to find it. Again, I don't know if you can do this or not but It would be good if you did this for future videos moving forward. Anyway that's all! Thank's for helping us Early-game players out!

There may be an exception, but I have yet to come across a lvl 60 champ that doesn't have enough of a NEEDED base stat for the benefit of flat stat gear to outweigh pc gear (I haven't looked at base ATK stats for DEF based champions, for instance).
@KozyKoti I agree. They've added so many new sets, it's very difficult to have any kind of decent stockpile. I've taken to just blind selling certain less valuable sets to make room in storage for the new, more powerful gear.

@latala43 I don't know what it is, but I've got a mental block about moving myself on screen. I will try to do better. I AM trying to do better. Thanks for the suggestion!
Gear cleanse videos arent sexy, but they are necessary. i watch them because each time I mentally let go of another piece of gear that Im holding onto for a champion that I never will get. You were ruthless for a few of those pieces, but we all keep too many pieces for broken sets anyway. One thing I just kind of started doing is counting up the potential roll on pieces and using that to sort as well. Now currently I sell any gear that have a roll under 14 for a stat, if I have a ton of those pieces. So if I have 12 pieces with crit rate at 15-20 I sell all pieces 14 and lower per set. i need to get tough and start selling five star speed boots.
@doro626 You've got the right mentality. It can be tough if you always focus on "what if" or "maybe someday." Go by the numbers, create a system that makes sense to you, and then be cold about it. Otherwise you end up with an inventory full of 6* blue gear that's got 1 roll in everything, and that's not helping anyone.
Unless your life steal is great or your bomb champ is built for clan boss, it's not a very good choice. Bomb champs usually don't deal a ton of hit damage bc you don't build crit on them, so they're just not gonna recover a lot of life with their attacks.
@ITPalGame Bomb champs' stat needs are somewhat more similar to debuffers than to other nukers. They need ACC and Speed and then all ATK. They get much less value from Crit. Rate and Crit DMG. So perception, speed, and accuracy sets are much more beneficial than lifesteal to a bomb champion.
@@ColredPlaysRSL And you can't get that from lifesteal? I was commenting on having it being a low end player, which helps in healing. These are the current stats: 35, 934 hp 3045 atk 14 11 def 155 speed 48 cr 121 cd 52 res 234 acc
I assume this is on Gnishak? So let's just say you swapped your Lifesteal set for 4 pieces of Perception with all the same rolls. Your speed would go from 155 to 166 and your ACC jump from 234 to 314. That's still too slow, but better, but now your Gnishak will land his bombs on dungeon bosses all the way up to Stage 25, instead of being resisted at stages 19-20. You're also within 20 ACC of what you need for UNM CB. The Lifesteal set is good for damage dealers in the early- to mid-game. It can make up for bad stats and a worse roster for a while. But once you start pushing into the higher difficulty levels of fights, you'll need to take your nukers out of lifesteal and instead keep them alive through proper team composition. Obviously, if you don't have the roster yet to do that, lifesteal still makes sense. But the goal is to get everyone you can out of lifesteal eventually. I hope that clarifies the point. Thanks for the question!
2 years in and you still keep 5 star rare and epic? I'm way beyond rare and I only save perfect pieces on specific gear sets that are very hard to get if they are 5 star epic. I'm level 85...
Not sure what you mean.If you cleanse the bad gear in your storage that you're not going to use, you get silver, plus free up inventory space for new, better gear.
@ColredPlaysRSL You're wrong. You're all looking at this wrong I promise you. You, Ash, Nub, HH, ect. This is not a normal game. It's pay to play. Logic need not apply. I always wanted to chime in on raid as a very low level content creator. I'm gonna set up a channel and do so. No green screen as I don't have that setup yet, just me. I'm gonna make the leap. I'll let you know when it's up and then you can tell me and everyone else for that matter if I'm right or wrong on my thinking. I'd always love a lively debate.
And please side yourself over a little so we can see the stats better. Thanks
2 years in and you still keep 5 star rare and epic? I'm way beyond rare and I only save perfect pieces on specific gear sets that are very hard to get if they are 5 star epic. I'm level 85...
Would be great if you weren't sat in front of the gear you're talking about.
@orange5proDH Agreed. But this video is a little bit older. I'm learning to be better about that.
Apart from that, it's great info that I desperately needed. Many thanks.
3700 for my dungeon divers event 😄
Great video as content. Next time maybe watch the video before you publish it. Item stats are below you.
Yeah, that's the mistake we made on this one. We've learned a bit in the past 13-14 months though. 🫡
I think u under estimate the power of broken sets.
You don't get anything for having less gear.
Cheers and good luck! 👍😁
PS, if you want to suggest the software you use for me down the road, I'd sure appreciate it. Thanks.
