Listen to the left hand - always same tempo, right hand mostly is in tempo and rhythm, but sometimes totally free - that´s the trick. Great playing !!!
Awesome. Every musician has their own unique sound and you can really appreciate that sound in improvisations, its just great to be able to enjoy people's musical imagination, regardless of instrument or genre.
Thanks for the video content! Apologies for the intrusion, I would love your initial thoughts. Have you ever tried - Riddleagan Smart Hands Remedy (Sure I saw it on Google)? It is a smashing one of a kind guide for learning piano fast minus the hard work. Ive heard some interesting things about it and my best friend Jordan after many years got cool results with it.
The best way to understand the foundation of jazz music is through classical... well really most music because a lot of it was inspired by a preexsiting genre
@@lolsup9817 the pioneers of jazz never studied much classical. You don't need a classical understanding of music to understand jazz. Most classical fans I have met, even through grad school for music education, there's way too much "better than you" attitude from classical to jazz players for a large amount of classical musicians to be any good at it. Might be more of their attitude than their abilities, but whatever the reason, those that think that jazz is an inferior genre is usually the worst at it.
@@anthonytroupe4923 Maybe because no skill shitters can defecate through their fingers and just call it "experimental jazz" and get away with it. Lacking knowledge isn't something to encourage or be proud of.
Omg. im korean and i was touched. i like this video. it make me feel happy. thanks for playing piano. omg listening piano, i write this . omh its already over......... i wanna listen this song more
In case anyone is wondering, he's playing the tune "keeping out of mischief now" by Fats Waller, one of the jazz piano greats. I highly recommend to check him out.
no! its not that easy to play with deeply heart expression out like this. the piano instrument really need to play with the emotion from our heart. if you cannot take the expression come out from your deeply heart and the right emotion , you cannot play well in piano like this guy. so this guy i can see his deeply expression, emotion that he play come out from his deeply heart. so this guy is awesome. very nice play. So light.
zarbitz Mitsuwan it does take some skill though, I have a great feel for jazz, whether it be combo or big band, and ive even led a big band, but still I have things I still need to study and practice
j aime beaucoup le groove de ce pianiste.il ne joue pas le stride d'une façon classique avec des patterns stride typiques main droite mais il improvise d'une façon plus moderne swing/bop.très interressant.
Uh, demonic possession by God made me write something foolish. One of my favorite compositions and performances. Beautiful song. Love the tonality of the piano and the playing. Excellent. Sounds like New York, back in the day New York.
That's nearly impossible due to extreme hard work. Studying would be more efficient, 'cause then you could come out with your own jazz improvisation from your heart. It's a long progressive study which is worth the hard work.
RockaBilly well. To learn to play Jazz on the piano, you will need some technical guidance, surely. Scales and such. Also rhythm and feels are important!
Chords are:

Yo jackie
Are you really Jackie Chan?
哈哈,我与成龙大哥相遇啦~~
@Ayustria Salma HE LOOKS LIKE FRANK SINATRA
Guys, stop asking for notes. This is jazz. Jazz is improvised.
Organized jazz isn't.
futuristicchamp1 True, but this is a solo. Practically always they're improvised. Plus, the title says "improvisation."
Yes, I am aware of that and I agree.
+TheCubingDiscMaster314 Cool thing called transcription
ummm not entirely, he's not just improvising, there are chords, there are melodic jazz sequences, and there's the theme.
Listen to the left hand - always same tempo, right hand mostly is in tempo and rhythm, but sometimes totally free - that´s the trick. Great playing !!!
That means hands independence is the key!
thx for pointing this out ! :D
I salute every pianist who can do this. I'm a classical pianist and i always need a buddy to accompany 😂
You can tell by the way he moves that he is indeed improvising
Awesome. Every musician has their own unique sound and you can really appreciate that sound in improvisations, its just great to be able to enjoy people's musical imagination, regardless of instrument or genre.
this video has truly inspired me. seen it over 50 times
Amazing! Wishing I could go into a Bar and play this all night till morn!
I always come back to this. It always makes me smile. Even when im down
He has an incredible control of sound, it feels like he has a strong classical music background
He does have, he has classical and jazz degree, and spent his youth learning from the best classic composers.

wow. He makes it up along the way to express feels right then.
There's something to this music that keeps me coming back everyday and doing a refresh. Probably the beat. Can someone make a 10-hour version of this?
This is art.

I love this. Reminds me of Fats Waller.
Did anyone hear "you got a friend in me?" From TStory.

This man probably inspired Pixar xD.

The spirit of Fats Waller is present.
That's what it means studying an instrument the whole life.
