- "Githeri man" became a countrywide sensation in the 2017 election, attracting the attention of President Uhuru Kenyatta who handed him a head of state commendation for his 'patriotism'. He also received a KSh100,000 token from the president and different endorsement deals followed. Exactly 5 years later, "Githeri man" doesn't look like he received all that. What happened? He speaks.

It's sad to see this man this way. I can see that he's still struggling with alcoholism. What people don't understand is that alcoholism is more of a spiritual problem than physical, that's why most alcoholics cannot help themselves because their addiction is locked up in the spirit realm. He needs Divine intervention.

Personally I think alcoholism is not a spiritual problem, when you decide you will stop it works, going to rehab and advise from others barely works, it's just like when you tell a child not to do something which they like. Have been there, Have seen close relative too.
He is not ungrateful for the 100k, he is emphasised he only got 100k because people think he became a million. If chance comes one"s in a lifetime, this man is likely to get another Chance. Good Luck to him.

I watched one guy talking about alcoholism, on JKL, him being one, and he said “the moment one crosses the line, that’s it. No turning back.” Alcoholism is irreversible. Very few overcome. But with effort it can be manageable. I pray this guy overcome or manages.

Lack of discipline in alcoholism leads to maisha mbaya, This guy is a perfect example on display!! I hope he changes his mindset, I also think he needs some serious rehabilitation.
