Love it (silver large bore)... and Bach heavy caps, flat metal finger buttons improve the look of this very fine instrument.
I was once a trumpet player. Unfortunately, having to use a rubbish trumpet back then meant that I eventually gave it up. My, what I would have given to have a top quality Bach trumpet back then! I think it could have turned me around.
Robin Brace jujitsu
Reminds me of the old Benge commercial horns (e.g., 6xp, 7x). Second slide pointed toward the bell and all.
Hi Steve. Another wonderful demonstration. Sound like great horns! I liked your Bill Chase thing going on at the end of your video. Take Care. JT
Thanks for tuning in John.
Best sounding player I’ve heard in a long time. Damn, dude.
Thanks
You play a bit like Jim Hynes.
That "Laura" really sounded nice. I need to practice more...
Nice playing ! Love that sound :-)

Hi Steve! It seems to have the A on it. You can't say that about every trumpet, can you? I had a Sonare 800 - very loud horn, penetrating and with the A. But the sound wasn't superior and it was literally heavy metal. Now I play on a Conn 1000B Severinsen - a former intermediate horn - that plays beautifully and soundy very very nice. But what's missing? The A...
That A is pure candy!

Hey Steve, I'm planning on picking up one of these horns possibly for the Holliday season. I currently play on a standard 37ML and was wondering which bore size would you recommend? I've always wanted to try a LB horn, but never have gotten the opportunity. I'm used to the step bore of the Bobby shew and set ups of the 8335LA. What do you think I should lean towards more? Please let me know thanks!!
Dear Lambo
Probably you would like th ML best.

Som aveludado Parabéns. Nota 1000
Thanks for the kind words.....
Is it possible to get both tunning slides with the same waterkey?
Bach went to the Amado water keys? Also why is the 2md valve angled the other way instead of traditional? Are they worth the price honestly?
A Bach that performs like a Benge, with a few extras too. Pardon my sarcasm. I never met a Bach I got along with.
The Bach horns are great.
What mouthpiece are ya using?
5:48
How do these horns compare with a LA Benge?
You'd have to tell me what model Benge?
The bell on the Bach is made out of Bronze. It is also a light weight bell.
This particular model also has a modified Bach 43 lead pipe so it is a little moe open blow than
most Benges.

Best,
Steve
thank you!
HornTrader. Is that similar to a 3c or 3d? I am using a bobby shew jazz and a bobby shew lead. I don't really like them even though i am comfortable on the bobby shew lead. What mouthpuece would you recommend for a bright sound and can also be used as an all rounder?
How does this trumpet compare in weight to a Schilke or Benge?
Do you know why it has a standard water key on the square tuning slide rather than the matching Amado water key that is on the third valve slide?
I think the Bach190S1B in silver plate is light than the Schilke or Benge. The Amado WK on the round slide give the horn a little more ZIP/ Edge. The Standard tuning slide with the conventional lever style is warmer and more Bach like.

Wondering why they didn't use a reverse leadpipe?
Good Question Ask the designer Rich Wetzel Stay Tuned to the HornTrader!
Are you a jazz or an orchestral player?
Hopefully I can convince you I'm both :)
Sorry for my clumsiness...I was just kidding. You remind me so much my father ( you are almost twins ).He too sometimes became red, but that was because he was angry with me cause I wasn't an quiet kid....obviously I didn't change...Sorry again; I have a lot of respect for you. You have the top 3 best trumpet sound I ever heard and I can't get tired hearing you play.
No Worries………..

hey do you trumpet restoration? or can you recommend someone who does good work? my Bach Stradavarius 43 has sat in case for 15 years since I last played in college. It needs to be all around cleaned, slides need work and valves are either sticky or frozen. I feel so awful to let a good horn see so much neglect. thanks, Thomas
Hi Thomas,
It depends is you want to go somewhere local or ship it out.

Hey Steve, I'm a big fan of your demo clips on TH-cam; you sound just so great blowing in any horn...BUT...as I'd like to see your clips for years to come, please take care of your health !! When yopu blow, just look at a fresh lobster just put out from boiling water !!!! JUst kidding....love to hear you play !!
Jocelyn,
Thanks so much for your concern. A lot of my lobster redness is because I have very transparent skin. LoL
I'm in the sun a lot bso I'm already Red, I promise to take care of myself………….. I am an avid Open water swimmer, and swim in the ocean year round about 8 to 10 miles a week. I noticed after only swimming for 10 days about 3 years ago that my range grew by a minor 3rd and I have a lot more color to my sound not to mention I've lost over 30 Lbs.
Check out the really early videos to see what I'm talking about.

HornTrader That’s both really great and really interesting. Do you think any physical activity would help with your lungs and playing, swimming especially?
Hi Steve,
I am interested in these great horns! How does the blow feel between the ML and the Large bore horn?
Thanks,
Joseph Hall
Hi Joseph You really need the Large bore IMHO. The ML is tight
Anyone know if they come with brass valve guides as well?
Yes I believe they do or at least should When I got mine it had both but maybe that's because I am a dealer
HornTrader I see, I got a 190L1BS very good used condition , but they didn't come with the metal ones... weird.
Thanks for the reply
It is almost funny because Bach built a really great Benge on this side of the bell!!!! LOL No I am not saying they copied a Benge only that it sounds like it on the recording.
As usual you sounded fantastic always a pleasure to listen to your video!
