Sorry about another loss. Can you place something between the rocks and glass on the right side glass panel? Maybe a piece of the plastic you use for the lids, it could be cut to size so you can't see it but act as a barrier to stop the fish bashing the rocks into he glass...

How about some pvc conduit? it sinks and it will keep the rocks off of the glass. The weight of the rocks will keep it in place and it will be easy.

Right at the 4:00 mark. Pretty sure the stool manufacturer never thought of adding a sticker to the handle that says "Not a Step", but if they see this vid they may be there soon. Sorry about the gar...been a rough couple of months for you, but the livestock you still have are amazing. Keep up the good work.

I got a idea when I saw you place the last rocks that were like pieces of Slate 🤔 how about if you get a bunch more slate to replace the big round rocks in the front? They are lower than your window and will keep the rays from chewing on the sides. You can find some longer ones and its heavy enough. Man that Platinum is a monster . Mean sucker . Everything looks great besides. 😊🧡🖤🧡

I'm trying to protect the seams of where the glass edge ended which is about 4" off the bottom of the tank. Otherwise yes I'd only put flat rocks all around! Same with the back wall it was pealing about 4" up off the bottom of the tank so I needed to put a large rock in front of that spot

You can glue rocks together so your fish cannot tip them over there is also glue you can use under water

Yeah I like the rocks. I bet the fish enjoy them a bit too. Probably gives them a little bit of security and texture adding enrichment to their environment. Sucks about the gar though, sorry dude. Definitely more rocks around the back though so put your trunks back on and hop in!

What kind of glass did you use

I'm honestly not a fan of the rocks for the same reasons you listed. I think I would probably glue a seam of pond liner to protect the seams. This would be a huge hassle but I think it would look better and give you complete peace of mind.

Yeah you may not like the rocks but they are for functionality and to preserve your tank so i get the conundrum but safety is always the most important thing.... sorry about the loss of your Gar.

In My Thinking stop transfer Fish from one Aquarium to another, leave them alone and let them be and let become a Natural Biosphere, maybe stop buying more Fish and be Happy with what You have.
