Anyone else every have issues with the yolk bending while trying to press the factory u joints out? I had that issues numerous times. I now have a piece of steel stock that I put between the forks of the yolk so the don’t bend in when pressing the u joint out.
I love how his just slides halfway in there while I’m over here with a fricking vise and a dremel cutting 1.5mm of steel away from the axles to have a chance on my u-joints being forced in. I’ve ordered multiple sets for an 08 Polaris 800 rzr and all of them are larger than the original.
Any words of wisdom for someone who managed to pop one of the caps the whole way through into the inside of the yoke? I can’t get it lined up good enough to get it started to push back through the hole
Ordered a press. Video very helpful thanks ;))

The u joint wont go in far enough to allow access to fit the clips. Any ideas

i just did the same. used a 5" cutting wheel on a grinder to buzz it off. Worked fine
can we watch you put it on the atv?!
Get a Tiger Tool U Joint kit, much easier
clear video
Bro if hammer the press tool the threading may get damage
We can even use small hydraulic press
The plate is free floating so there's no pressure on the threads
First!
How the hell you get the damn thing out the machine? Why don't any of y'all show that?
