If you get a chance to pick up the "47 Ronin" steelbook, don't hesitate. It's one of the coolest looking steelbooks in my collection. My favorite is Scarface I love the glossy red finish and the emblem on the back. Another steelbook I like is Limitless its a Canadian steelbook with great interior artwork.

Me too! Skyfall is definitely one of my favorite steelbooks that I own. I wish they would go back and give all the Bond films this sort of treatment. There's a Goldfinger steelbook out there that's pretty nice as well. Trying to find that one at the right price. Thanks for watching!
Scarface was my first steel book, it got me addicted too! , I bought it about three years ago still have not opened it but I know what's inside because I've watched openings on TH-cam, but I did buy the regular case of the remastered Scarface it looks excellent and sounds great compared to the original, mostly talking about the music and the sound effects it sounds like a brand-new movie as well as looks
Open it, honestly there is no point collecting and not using them, I've been a massive film collector for years started with videos when I was about 8 years old have a massive amount of videos that are worth nothing now they changed to DVDs you can't even give them away. Once they change the format films come on they'll be worth nothing anyway so might aswel use them. That is unless you plan to sell them before they change format but as a collector myself we know your not planning on selling them.

There's a Mondo Steelbook for First Blood, The artwork is so great but I am not sure how the picture quality is going to be. I did get myself a Terminator 2 Mondo Steelbook awhile back and was so hugely dissappointed over the picture quality of that blu ray. The Steelbook is lovely though but I was hoping with the price I bought, they would have improved the picture quality. It felt like as though I was watching the film on DVD. Anyway there's going to be a T2 3D release this year so yeah, I'll end up double dipping since I am sure the T2 3D will have an improved picture quality.
I seriously need to do an update. I have all the Mondo Steels. They are great looking in design for sure. T2 has been remastered, but sadly that disc was. it used for this release. For T2 I always watch the Skynet Edition so I can watch the Judgment Day cut of the film. First Blood looks good and is the same transfer, to the best of my knowledge, as previous releases. Nice! There's also a Harry Potter steelbook collection from Germany that comes in a really nice display case that all the steelbooks slip into. Expensive though.
They're typically the same version as what's released on regular BR, but the packaging is the only difference. There are some out there they may be a little differen, but that's far in between.
I did not know they had the goonies on still book, I'm going after that right now. But the holy Grail is Iron Man one Stillbrooke you can't get that for under $200, I had pre-ordered that from Best Buy but then they canceled it and give me store credit and I'm like WTF, really
When I started back in September I was hitting up E-bay a lot. Constantly on there looking for the best deals. Goonies was one I came across and got for $20. Still do a decent amount pick ups on E-bay, but I also keep an eye out for flash sales on Zavvi. I also keep an eye out for new releases at retailers such as Best Buy, Target, Walmart, etc.. I feel like it would be weird to have only 1 movie of a series on steelbook. Especially if it's not the first in the series, like how you only have the Captain America sequel on steelbook. Personally, if the sequel was only on steelbook, then I wouldn't want to buy it. But if I had the first movie of a series on steelbook and not the rest then it wouuldn't bug me aass much. That's just me though, I'm kind of OCD like that lol

Godzilla isn't a SteelBook.. it's a MetalPak. I HATE MetalPaks eventhough I have it.. that one isn't that bad because it's embossed and it has a speaker built in.

I'm a big Bond fan and the Skyfall steelbook is by far one of the nicest steelbooks I have seen so am going to be ordering it online soon.
