I am an actor and content creator with Hollywood credits including roles on Lucifer (Netflix), Starlight Christmas (Hallmark), JT Leroy (Universal Studios), etc. In this channel, I offer insight to Kpop performances using my 10+ years of training in dance, acting, singing and overall performance. In dance, my forte are contemporary and musicals and have done most of my performances in theatre. I think the thing that stands out the most was the CHEMISTRY they have, they already feel like a group so it will feel weird to not have them debuting together as a group, but also there were rumors of SM debuting a bg out of NCT so I don't really know were they are gonna end up at, but personally I do want to see them on NCT they seemed to have good chemistry with Sungchan and Shotaro

Their vibe is very NEO. It just feels like they will be the new bunch added. Also, a few hidden trainees were spotted at SMTOWN Suwon. There are chances that those hidden trainees would be the new sm bg while these 3 rookies would be neos. It just doesn't make sense to otherwise introduce them in an NCT video and have them share a stage with 2 neos.

Everyone dances good unless you're dancing with Shotaro. As much as I want to put my attention to other members, he just captivates you with his skills. Very clearly you can see the difference that will make you look at him and say, "Yow, this guy is a god!"
Their stage presence was insane!!!! I really hope they all debut in same unit together. Their chemistry is on fireee 🔥
They were all amazinggg.
*SHOHEI* stood out for me the most. His facial expressions are so on point 👍🏻😎Also, I think *SHOTARO* will be the leader of this unit. From their behind clip, the way he monitors and teaches them, I could feel the leader charisma so much! He's really on another level! 👏🏻🔥

yes shotaro leaderrr! if so, we just know the performances are gonna be A+ TIER.
So according to SM, SEUNGHAN (2003) has outstanding dancing and vocals, EUNSEOK (2001) is an attractive rookie with clear visuals and SHOHEI (1996) has excellent rap and DJ skills.
They did not mention that much about EUNSEOK but obviously he has great dancing skills too. I remember they did the same when they first introduced WINTER (aespa) to the public, no mention of any skills but it turns out she's a great vocalist and dancer too! So I'm really looking forward to see more of EUNSEOK ☺️ and ofcourse the same feeling with both SHOHEI and SEUNGHAN. I'm soooo ready to stan this group 💚🙌🏻☺️

Fyi about SHOHEI :
- He was part of the Japanese group 'avex' (unit BXB) that disband in 2018.
- He was a rapper and a dancer
- He started training at SM in 2018
- He auditioned for SM 11 times, but SM rejected him 10 times and at the 11th audition SM finally accepted him
- He was also EXO's back dancer at a concert in Tokyo

Seunghan is so good at dancing despite him being a main/lead vocalist. Shohei is a rapper but damn he could be a main dancer too. What shocked me the most is Eunseok, SM introduce his visual only but he is not all that, he sure can dance. I think he might be a vocalist too tho omg

They are the perfect combination. Leader shotaro unit will be a very powerful performance group.

Feel like Yuta and Shotaro have content together just because they're both Japanese and not that they'll be in a group together. It's just like how sometimes RenJun or Chenle will do stuff with the members of WayV.
As Yuta is very popular in Japan, it's also a great way to introduce Shotaro to japanese audiences, before debuting his unit

I was so proud and emotional to see all of those amazing, hard working artists perform on a "family" event like that. The SM Rookies, WayV, SNSD and Resonance stages were for me the highlight (and most emotional lol) moments. I really couldn't help but cry when WayV performed Kick Back :') the way Xiaojun screamed "WayV is back!!" and they all looked so enthusiastic to be back on stage... Aaaah, my heart crumbled.
Who knows what this unit will be?? I feel like they gave away a hint by having Shotaro do the NCT gesture😂💚 let's see if they become NCT Tokyo and if they'll remain 5 or add other members! They ATE this performance and literally left no crumbs. OMG.
The 3 rookies haven’t debuted yet they were only previewed in this piece which is why it wasn’t full length.
If all 3 make it this will be a 5 piece unit with SungTaro
Talking of heavy boots... I DIE EVERY TIME I SEE AN IDOL DANCING IN NEW ROCK BOOTS 🤯 I used to wear them years ago and my feet ACHED FOR HOURS after even just a small walk in them. So far I’ve seen some members in MX & TO1 dance in them. Probably have been more idols dancing in them, but those so far out of the groups I stan. I think per boot they weigh 20 pounds, may be more.
I think these 5 will debut as a new nct unit together + 2 more hidden trainees which i think will be vocalist just like Renjun & Chenle of dream. They both wasn't introduced in smrookies like the other dream members and they are both vocalist of the group.
Since SM tend to have vocal trinity in every unit like HC-TI-DY in 127, HC-RJ-CL in dream and then XJ-TN-KN in wayv so i think another 2 members will join these 5 guys to form a 7member unit.
i agree! i do believe 2 more members will be added to the group (if they do debut as nct tokyo) if we're to base our assumption on the average number of members the other units have each (7). whether that number includes yuta or not is another matter. or yuta cud be the 8th for i strongly believe he'll be included based on the contents/activities he's been engaging in with shotaro recently. :)

@@sphjnx i still think 7 members tho. the 5 (sungtaro & smrookies) plus 2 hidden cards. this is based on a photo rcntly uploaded by one of SM's rookies/trainees accounts on IG, w/c photo showed a photoshoot bts and 2 guys w/ their heads blurred or covered w/ emojis. and it looked like one of the smrookies was the subject of the photoshoot. altho said guys w/ their heads covered may only be SM staff/employees. not sure. 🤷🏻♀️

here's what i noticed, mostly c-line idols are known for their visuals while j-line idols are known for being great at dancing.
Seunghan's solo part got me like dang 😳

I can see these five debuting as a unit together for sure however I don't think it will just the five of them. I can totally understand what you mean about looking forward to a dance focused unit (I love that kind of thing too) but a dance focused unit doesn't sell albums without strong music.
By that I mean, there hasn't been a SM group debuted of any kind without some power vocalists and I don't see them starting that now. And in their bios- none of these boys have vocal listed as their strength or focus.
I could easily see a couple of typical SM vocalists also being added to the group to round it out (needing to be strong enough at dance to keep up but also standing to the side when they need to ad lib or do more intense vocal work.) I think we'll find out fairly soon as international travel is getting easier and slightly less disrupted.
PS I think part of the reason that many people (esp international fans) don't realised how popular Sungchan is in Korea is because most of us don't watch Inkigayo in its entirety every week month after month and many in Korea do. It's an incredible institution and a staple for Sunday watching for many and Sungchan hosted that for months and months which has a way of making people very familiar with someone and develop a great deal of affection for them. Fans joke about members being "unemployed" but working on a huge weekly show like that is a lot of work, experience and exposure, just not lots of international exposure....
i remember seunghan being introduced as a rookie with vocal skills tho? hoping he's good. sungchan can most definitely hold a tune too
@@sofiag23199 Ah yes, thank you. Seunghan is listed as a vocalist. I forgot about that. I think all SM artists can hold a tune but they usually have some main vocalists who have serious power. I still expect to see a larger group when they debut though and more vocalists ..we'll just have to wait and see..
pretty sure they said seunghan was a main vocalist but ur right abt sungchan i don’t keep up w him too closely but realized he was mega popular since isac i feel like he could be a 4th gen it boy once he redebuts
Yeah being on television every Sunday for a year definitely boosted his popularity. With that much exposure and incredible handsome face obviously wud make ppl bias him.

I am very excited to see the new rookies debut, I was very curious about their skills and this presentation was insane!!! shotaro made the nct sign at the end so I think that was a hint that they will be a new unit, it's like we all already know it we just need to be confirmed by sm haha and about whether or not yuta will be part of nct tokyo, there are many 127zens who don't want that to happen because they think that his activities with 127 it could become a mess or end, as it happened with winwin when he debuted in wayv and became inactive in 127, but it seems silly to think. It must be very tiring to be in more than one unit, just look at mark and haechan but with shohei's age (96), I don't see anything wrong with that, and yuta (95) I don't see it very strange that he debuts again in a new unit, I MEAN he was the first Japanese member of the company and of the group, being the most popular in his native country too so I don't know, it will be the company's decision... excellent reaction as always!
The problem is not about their age. It's about the dual unit system. Both the units and the talents had suffered because of it. That's why dream member often performs with 5 members and having a hard time with world tour schedule. Even SM tried to get rid of that system but it became inevitable for them and it was too late. If yuta is in Tokyo unit, the schedule between 127, dream and tokyo will be insane, they can't even perform if one of them have another schedule in different unit. Not viable.

@@JeffAvenue Yeah, but MaHae being in two groups permanently was never planned long term, they were all intended to graduate eventually. And Dream has to give them up and perform as 5 whenever there is a conflict (because Dream was not intended to be a permanent line up at the beginning so they are just making it work however they can but it's really awkward.) It's hard on the fans but it's incredibly tough on Mark and Haechan most of all; I don't think I would sign up for that...
I actually can't see them trying to double up anyone outside of NCT U for the long term; the logistics are a total nightmare, especially once real world tours start up again.

I am looking forward to their official debut, I hope it comes by the end of the year. If they’re a Japanese unit, I hope Yuta joins them. 127 shouldn’t be too active in the coming year(s) considering some of the members will have to enlist soonish 😢
I think for sure they will be a hard dance unit with Yuta and maybe Ten (he hinted months ago he was learning japanese), anyways im here for it!

yes i so agree with you about Sunghcan's improvement! Not to say he was a bad dancer when he debuted but it's definitely noticeable how much he has improved and gained more confidence. i can't wait for the new unit so we can finally see him shine more on stage.

I think it's really possible for yuta to be in NCT140 (longitude of Tokyo, kinda smart from sm) even might become like the leader and shotaro could be the center of the group. And they might even had another hidden member tooo.
But I'm kinda wary bcs sm planned to debut 3 boy groups : NCT140, NCT HOLLYWOOD and SMNBG (not a nct unit). Instantly Shota, Shohei and Yuta fit in NCT140. And since sm also have some trainees in jp, they could possibly joined by trainees but from jp.
For nct HOLLYWOOD since they will debut from a survival show judged by the nct members, idk if seunghan, eunseok and sungchan are gonna be added with them.
Secondly there's also another chance that I would rather not to be realisable. Yuta being suddenly inactive in 127 activities to be replace by someone else or even seughan, sungchan and eunseok.
the last part could happen bcs this is what happened with winwin and wayv. and knowing how nasty nctzens are, it was a painfully part for jungwoo to be fully accepted

I don’t think Yuta will be part of the new group. First, he’s already on his 6th year as an artist. Idk about you all but I feel like it’s kinda a disrespect to all of his hard work through the years if SM adds him on a rookie group even if it’s nct. Also, he’s big in Japan rn. I am not belittling SungSho and the rookies’ capabilities but Yuta will have the spotlight if he joins them. Lastly, just look at Mark and Haechan, overworked af. Just yesterday, Yuta said on bbl that he’s worried(?) for them. They have a world tour on going, a cb next month, a concert for nct dream, and other schedules in line. Yuta is better off as a 127 member and a soloist.

Please check DKB and especially their choreographies and dance covers. They create their own choreography and are truly amazing dancers in so much hip hop. I recommend them debut "sorry mama", their choreographies to Tones And I - Dance Monkey and their new one comeback "24/7"
