My son and I entered a pre-release tournament for the Paradox rift. It was our first official event. He went 3-2 and I went 2-3. We got two decks and 10 packs for $50. WINNING!

ETB are good to store your cards with. I mostly buy ETB for sleeves, dices and storage.
My display is almost entirely comprised of ETBs, and that's because ETBs retain their original artwork and look even after cracking open.
Some other products also look great but ETBs just stack and collect better altogether on a shelf, as they're all uniform in size and shape.
I’m a huge fan of the artwork/colors on the ETBs
Saw this in the store and picked it up today! I have very little knowledge of the TCG but I had a blast opening the packs!
I thought about ordering it online but I'm always paranoid they'd be tampered with lol
I started ordering the Pokémon center ETB’s since they started doing the stamped promos. I want to collect all of them going forward
it's disappointing that they keep increasing the amount of hits, yet the pull rates are still pretty rough. I mean to have 80+ secret rares and only get 3-4 for an entire booster box is just sad.
Yeah with so many secret rares they have to increase the pull rates, I don’t mind if it makes the cards cheaper
indeed, that's why I had fun opening Brilliant Stars, the pull rates were generous. After that... I've passed on all the following sets
And to top it off, they bumped the price up of all their product too.

I don’t think illustration rares should be more common. The second that holo rares became more common they became immediately less desirable.
Agreed. I think they should be rare to pull but also a set should not have many of them
Pokemon lost my trust with the Van gogh situation. I cant find a single promo for under $100

Yeah I’ve been collecting ETBs recently and you’re right, it’s prob best to save and get a booster box from the good sets you think?
Pre-ordered these two and a booster bundle because I'm looking forward to this set. I don't buy packs often but if it's a set with many cards that can be splashed into decks I pick some up.
The only thing I would argue is that if you’re interested in the PC exclusive ETBs then buy them now 👌🏼

Best thing to do is buy the PC ETBs and keep them sealed then get one of each of the regular ones to open, win win!
Yeah i agree the regular etbs have been plummeting in price agter release, the only etbs worth getting are the Pokémon center etbs

Unrelated, but today I went to my local Walmart and found one more Sylveon V tin! And from a Mew Fusion Strike pack art, it had a 12 card error pack with the Mew Vmax alt art! Along with a psychic energy! I swear someone from the factory did that intentionally! Let's go! 😂

I just grabbed a case of 10 Paldea Evolved ETBs for $26 each. I figure for that price it's too good to pass up with those nice Pikachu promos.

I preordered PC ETBs when announced but I might just sell them when I get them, I thought the promos would be the Pokémon on the box
my goal is to collect every PC ETBs so far i have every Scarlet and Violet PC etb i just ordered one or each of these. only one i’m missing is 151 which ill buy from ebay. it’s the only one i missed on preorder but they all been selling out fast!

Im skipping this set completely as a wholesale collector. Scarlet Violet year 1 has been a massive let down outside of 151. Smh. Heres hoping year 2 of 3 will be better ! Lets go 2024

lol, maybe just bad luck for me. I bought a ETB case for both S&V base set and Paldea Evolved. both 1st box in the case yield 0 hits. 2nd boxes in both case yield 2 and 3 hits per box.
Did you make the Van Gogh pikachu video? You were totally wrong in that video. They ran out of cards instantly and the price shot back up (you said the price would fall since the cards would be easy to get for months and if you’re wrong you have failed us 😂)
If you are a long term collector they are good. Any pokemon is good if you are a long term collector 10+ years
I will deffo open some paradox rift but I wont be buying all the products. Not trying to master this set. If anything ill get some singles of the cards I like.
The old ETB boxes price are dropping big! I got my lost origin ETB for under $20, and Pokemon go ETB for $25, Obsidian flame too

The pull rates in ETBs have always been the WORST for me!! I sometimes feel like why are they even making these art rares if we can't get them lol they're REALLY rare!!

Not a fan with how they changed pull rates from swsh to SV. Giving us more reverse holos that no one asked for and less secret rares that ppl actually care about. All about money for pci
They're "OK" display pieces? What exactly is better? A booster box that you can only see the front of? These are English sets. Not specialty Japanese boxes like the ones you have as your backdrop.
Booster boxes and especially collection/premium collection boxes are far better displays than etbs. Heck even the tins usually have better art than the etbs

This set will sit. I don't see any card here that's worth collecting. Pokemon needs to revise their direction of Pokemon creation, because they suck. Just saying.💯
Sets are getting to big and there are way way too much cards to chase. Secrets no longer feel like secrets. Holo have become bulks. The excitment of pulling something like Holo are long gone. Pokemon TCG is trash now. Well to me it is.

Entered into the Japanese shiny set lottery and classics lottery. Will skip this English after their Van Gogh fiasco and poor 151 quality and pulls
I give the set a 4/10. Forgettable but not horrendous. Not every set is going to be amazing.
