  • For pure, undiluted fun, there's nothing quite like operating a small flying boat off a remote lake. In this video, AVweb's Paul Bertorelli takes a test flight in a new Searey Elite. The company is now selling these airplanes as SLSA aircraft.

I'd like to point out that by some MIRACLE Searey has created a two-place folding wing S-LSA Amphibian WITHOUT PISSING AWAY OVER 120 MILLION DOLLARS !!!!!!!
    Icon please take note !!!!!

Great fun aircraft, the factory build is a fantastic idea. I hope they sell a boatload! (pun intended).
Compliments on the video production quality, too - they seem to be getting better and better.

At one time I really wanted an Icon until it the cost got higher than I paid for my T-210! How did I miss out on Searey? Looks like a great retirement project! (experimental version)

I'm not sure how expensive this plane is, and I've been looking, but for my money the icon is still a much better looking airplane, with some advanced features that will hopefully keep its market value up for a few years, let's be honest, unless you plan on keeping a kit plane forever, there's no residual value in kit planes...
