    I found this one of your most interesting episodes and I really appreciate you opening up with us about this! I know the podcast is going in a slightly different direction now but I hope we can have another under-the-covers confessional at some point in the future 😊

    Are you originally from the Northern or Southern China? If you are from the Southern, then maybe your heritage language is not Mandarin, but other Chinese language? 🤔 For example, Hokkien, Hakka, Cantonese, Shanghainese.... etc

      @mirae9163 someone else had suggested this too and I can see why, but unfortunately I'll have no way of knowing like many other adoptees, we all just say Mandarin is our heritage language by default since we have no info about our birth families
