Esper, will you be creating a "monster" to explain the negative area effect to spawn this beast? I think it is necessary. Very creative sir. It seems similar to the Dream Vistage from your video 2 years ago about 10 old horror things. But not quite as powerful, more subtle. Was that a Gnoll or an "undead" werewolf? Or something worse?
Maybe calling it a Miasma of Maleficence..... 😬 ..... like a corrupting, mildly cursed area. Like an unintelligent ghost but an area of effect? Creepy. Maybe it causes characters to potentially get enraged if they don't pass some wisdom save in combat and randomly attack an ally.
Yes. This is DnD. Brutal, scary, gritty.... full of drama (but not THAT kind of drama). You can immerse yourself into the story. You want to cheer for these 4 guys.
The noises he makes for these monstrosities is excellent. Chunky, visceral, juicy..... 😂😂😂 Imagine the noises he makes when he has the flu. 😢 I bet his wife is scared to death. 🤣🤣🤣 "911.... there's a monster in my bedroom...."
Esper, I think you’ve found a gem with this story! Please keep it going to its natural conclusion, wherever that may be! You’re a great story teller and DM!
Great story/battle. I hate the 5e rules but you’re a great story teller- you are excellent at showing how the rules aren’t as important when there is a good story.
Let's gooooooo. I'm sure the brotherhood of fjarlstead gave you a nice respite from the whole situation happening right now. It sure has given me some.
What I actually love - even tho it's more based on the story telling than monster melee, it's still has encounters in each episode. As a combat enjoyer - this is good!
Awesome, more Brotherhood of Fjarlstead! It's great to see the four survivors getting some more character for each of them. I hope that they can find their way back to civilization before the horrors of the night claim them. Thank you so much for putting time and effort into these stories, and I can't wait to see what happens next. Hopefully they can all work through their nightmares. If not... well, I might just be speculating here since we don't know enough to say anything more, but that thing they fought... I wonder if it's foreshadowing of what can happen to men in the mists.
I echo many of the other commenters, I'd love to see this series continue on. I'm hoping to see some characters created from Monstrous Heroes in the future as well. I've been enjoying creating new characters again as your book offers lots of options. Great job, Esper!
I like this format better then the monster melee. Don't get me wrong monster melee is what drew me to your channel. But the combination of story and the melee is great. Please keep this tale weaving it's tendrils deep into my imagination.

Man absolutely love this series your doing amazing work, please keep it up, I would love to see the history of this land begin to form as well as these characters struggle to survive these dark times!. Hopefully none of them get afflicted with anything, that is one nasty creature, great and i mean great roleplay as well i wish i had players that role played as you do!
